  • The Michelin M12XC has set the standard of how motorcycle tires should perform and hold up to the abuse of motocross racing and off-road riding.
  • Michelin designed and constructed the M12XC tires to offer ideal performance on intermediate terrain.
  • An updated rubber compound finds its place in the M12XC tires to improve grip.
  • Michelin continued the upgrades with the M12XC tire by redesigning the tire structure with additional casing ply to improve tread flex which in turn improves feedback, traction and warm-up time.
  • The stiffened sidewalls of the M12XC tire transmit additional feedback with increased lateral rigidity.
  • Featuring massive tread blocks, the Michelin M12 Tire is designed to resist chunking on hard packed surfaces to optimize both performance and wear life.
  • Michelin uses a wide spaced tread pattern on the M12 tires to improve traction in soft conditions.
  • Cross 12 Casting allows the Michelin M12 tire to have maximum traction and steering performance in mixed conditions.
  • Note: The Michelin M12XC tire is sold individually.

Great tire
I bought a full set of M12XC tires for my WR450 in preparation for the 24 hours of Starvation Ridge race. Went with the M since the track would either be hard or extremely soft and muddy depending on the weather on the day. It ended up being really goopy clay mud. The tire hooked up exceedingly well, even able to loft the front tire when the traction should have been horrible. Not as great for cornering, but again, I was riding on grease. No signs of any wear yet, but there wasn't any friction on the tire. Early on, some sections of the course were grasstrack, and the tire hooked up great there too. Downgraded on ease of installation since it's a tire. It's never all that easy, and won't ever be. Didn't rate highly on durability because I can't say for sure yet, all the miles I've put on it so far were low friction.

Great tire!
The only rear tire I buy now! Great traction and impressive wear for the size of the lugs. I ride mostly loose singletrack with lots of trees and rocks, rocks, rocks! They are a little tougher to install then other tires I have used but well worth it!

Just like the drive through
Yep, you never quite get what you want at the drive through, and apparently now motosport as well...I ordered a 110/100-18...fully expecting to get a tire that says 110/100-18...however, mine says 130/80-18....if it fits, ill update my review, but bottom line is this..if i order a freaking burger, dont give me a fish sandwich and tell me its the same...

As far as the tire goes, it does hold up very well. I have raced 4 or 5 hare scrambles and tire shows very little wear. The problem is that I ordered a 110/100/18. What I got was a 130/80/18. I called several times to ensure the tires was the same as a 110/100, and was told it was. The tire did fit my rim (very hard to get on), but I noticed the tire is almost 2" narrower than the 110/100 I took off. I do have some traction/ rear control problems. I guess in the long run I might have to get future tires from the shop so I can ensure I get what I ordered not what is shipped to me.

Best xc tire out there
i ride a ktm 250 xc that eats tires up more than any other bike ive owned. i just got back from riding lava rock covered trails in china hat Oregon and was suprised at the small amount of wear these tires had. BEST mud tire as well. This will be the only rear tire ill ever put on my bike again.

Excellent Tire
I have ran many different tires in the past on many different bikes. I'm currently running a 98 KX500 and everyone knows tires don't last long with that bike. I have ran the M12 hard since spring 2010 and it still looks almost new. Hooks up excellent in every terrain I ride in. Sand, Mud, Rocks, and Hard Pack. Haven't ripped any knobs off yet either. If you need a long lasting tire for a big bore bike these work very well.
