  • The Michelin S12 XC tire was strictly designed for traction in soft terrain. The newest S12 XC tire takes it a step further and improved the durability in conjunction with better grip. The reformulated rubber mixture on the S12 XC improves durability by at least 25% from previous Michelin tires.
  • A championship tire needs to transmit feedback efficiently and Michelin improved this on the S12 XC with a redesigned casing by adding a ply and adding thickness to the sidewalls in the bead area.
  • Maintaining the proven tread pattern was exactly what Michelin did with the S12 XC tire. The shoulder pattern promotes cornering stability. Keeping the lugs clear from mud build up is accomplished with the S12 XC tires unique 45° knobs.

Disappointed
I love Michelins, but this tire was horribly. I have this tire on my 2011 YZ250 F, Six motos on a primarily sand track, and nearly all the side knobbies are chuncked off. The center knobs look fine. I'm going back to a MS or MH 3.

Not impressed
Ran this tire on my 450 with good results. The 100-90-19 is way different though. Knobs are much smaller and chunked off bad on my 250f. In thick mud it does not hook up at all. In hardpack it shreads knobs. In sand it is good as long as it is prepped and firm though there are way better tires for a prepped track.

Wow!
I am a michelin man but i always bought the starcross tires until i got talked into buying this tire and its by far the best tire iv ever used i race harescrambles and im commin up on my 3rd race on this tire and its still 95% there and iv been down the road a total of 15 miles this thing hooks up amazing in wet terrain not sure on sand never rode in it with the tire but very good i race c class and could make it up hill climbs that pros made 2 attempts at so id highly recomend this tire
