  • The unique design of the FMF Powerbomb header provides room for the expansion of the exhaust gases creating a 10% increase in exhaust flow. Translation: more power.
  • The larger "bomb" section of the FMF Powerbomb header creates more surface area to increase sound dissipation and lowering the dbs. By decreasing the sound level, your bike will more easily meet the tight sound restrictions.

Doesnt fit
pay the extra $20 for the stock pipe. burns your leg and doesnt fit stock muffler. comes with a spacer because the tube is smaller in diameter and exhaust flow out the spacer. also the "power bomb" does nothing in performance. is the same diameter tube all the way through. power bomb is just to get you to buy it. get the stock pipe.

I got the fmf powerbomb header for my kx450. It took all of ten minutes to install. The power deliver seems to be smoother and you don't loose much on the top end. I would without a second thought buy another one. The only down fall with this header is it turned the ugliest bronze color I have ever seen within the first two rides. But that can be expected just wish it turned a little nicer and not so visible bronze. other then that what a great product and Motosport was fast and accurate with the delivery time. My next parts I will go through them instead of the other guys.

No need for megabomb!
i decided to go with the powercore 4 slip-on and purchase the powerbomb header separately, which made a full system, and was much cheaper than buying a full system. my 07 crf250r had huge gains righ out of the box with this exhaust, sounded and looked much better also. throw on a K&N filter and a FMF (DJ) jet kit and your bike will roar! the powerbomb gave much added power, and i dont think you'll get much more out of the megabomb, and the extra cost isn't worth it.

My son (20) & I (60) share a 03 CRF 450 R with obvious differences in style & technic in riding. It didn't take long after installing the F Bomb that the two of us each had a huge smile! The install was simple & the performance is perfect for both of us. The only thing we are going to change is to put a 12 tooth on the counter... Kibblewhite Valves, 11 oz. flywheel, FMF Exhaust...This has been a pleasure working with you folks!

i got this for my wr250x with the power core 4 and its AMAZING!!!! there is no reason you should have any other exhaust on your bike. it sounds great and adds lots of power

Due to these not being from same manufacturer it may not be an exact fit. The FMF headers will work with stock slip-ons but the stock slip-ons also have a crush gasket which allows some extra play when initially fitting the exhaust. This gasket can be crushed down with the exhaust clamp to create a correct seal between the two portions of the exhaust system.

To answer this question, I would need to know what model information we are referring to specifically. In general, I'd say it's common for the head pipe to be the same diameter where it meets the muffler or mid-pipe. This isn't always the case though.
