SE3 Combo - Skinny but good!
Installed the SE3 combo on my CRF450X. At first I was hesitant to because as others have stated, the rear tire has short knobs. I decided returning them was too much of a hassle so gave them a shot. Despite the rear tire being skinny (120/90 my rear. it measures the same width as my wife's 100/100 on her CRF 250x) I am very impressed with their performance. Went for a 60 mile ride with gnarly single track, rocky up and down hills, fast fire roads, and a lot of mud an rain. Tires hooked up amazingly well under all conditions. I'd say as well as Maxxis SI's. Wear looks fine, no chucking or torn knobs, very minor rounding. Are they worth it? Time will tell! At almost half the price of other brands, if the durability is even close, they are a bargain!

A bit dissappointed
Bought the combo and loved the price. SE3 for the front, and TG4 for the back. Ride KTM 450 EXC on all types of terrain. The mismatch is because that is what Motosport had for my size. 110/100-18. Didn't want the 120. Mounted both new and raced a hare scrambles yesterday - "C" class. The front was fine in all kinds of terrain. Felt comfortable in corners and held up well. The rear is a different story. Short knobs to begin with, and after the one race, the knobs are pretty well rounded out with some minor breakage. With short round knobs, it will be terrible in soft stuff. Replacing it now. One ride on a tire is not enough in my opinion, no matter the price. .

Purchased the TG4's Couldn't be happier!!!!
These tires are great. I ride in Northern AZ, and the terrain changes a lot. We have sand, rock, clay, and dirt. These tires do well in all of them, but really shines in the sand and dirt. They are a bit heavier than the MX51's I took off, but they last MUCH longer. I will buy these again!!! When it came to installing the front tire, I did have to put about 70 psi in to get the tire to bead, but not really a big deal imo.

Put about 10 psi in it, shoot soapy water in the beed, then bounce the tire up and down rotating it. Then pump it up big time. 75 psi should pop it on the beed then let her back down to 12 and you are set.

Why are there no 110-19 rears in SE3 style?
120 is too big IMO for track use and a lot of bikes run the 19 inch rear. I tried the SX1 and liked it, but I want a tire that lasts a little longer.

Hi CRF Sean! The SE3 is very skinny. I put the 120/90/18 on my CRF 450x, replacing a 110/100/18 D756. The SE3 is exactly the same width across as the 100/100/18 Kenda on my wife's 250! Looks like a 125 tire but work amazingly well! Does feel a little taller than the Dunlop. Hope this helps!

What should i try out?
i gotta 250 2stroke and ride pretty much hard packed chunked out tracks i was going to try out a set of dunlop 745's...but the price of these rubbers seem way better.

For the price, surprisingly these are a good tire. They hook up really well and have a minimal wear life. The SX1 tire is intended for intermediate/hard terrain, which would be a good compound for what you mentioned.

My 2007 ktm 300xc has a 110/100-18 rear tire and the one offered in the SE3 package deal is a 120/90-18. It says it fits on your site but I must be sure before I order. Thank you

If you are doing a mixture of sand riding and desert style riding you would probably want to go with the TG4. The wear life should be about the same as the Maxxis.

Tire comparison?
How do the ARTRAX tires compare to others such as Dunlop (756) ? I am comparing and might like to try these tires on my CRF450 and my sons CRF250. We normally run the Dunlop D756

I would go with the SX1 Artrax compound if you are trying to get something close to the D756. I have used both and personally believe the Artrax SX1 lasts longer than the D756 and is more economical without sacrificing traction.
