Developed for hard to intermediate tracks, StarCross MH3 tires helped win five MX2 World Championships. Sculpted side knobs help provide excellent grip in aggressive cornering, while massive central knobs resist chunking.

  • Michelin has developed the StarCross MH3 motorcycle tire for serious riders and weekend warriors looking to get excellent traction on intermediate to hard terrain.
  • The Michelin StarCross MH3 tire features massive knobs to resist chunking. The reshaped side knobs on the StarCross MH3 tire provides improved grip when cornering.
  • The innovative mirror image tread pattern is reversible on the StarCross MH3 and includes a tread-wear indicator which tells the rider when it is time to reverse the tire resulting in better traction and longer tire life.
  • The super stiff sidewalls on the StarCross MH3 help absorb the high-impact shock incurred when landing jumps.

Awesome tire

I ride in the northeast where the ground is hard and rocky and the tire is excellent for the trails and track and the tire wears very good on these conditions the Michelin mh3 tire is the best tire hands down

Starcross MH3

This tire, in my opinion, is by far the best motocross tire, We have run them all and for the most part it comes down to rider preference. But for the hard pack tracks in the south, you cant beat the MH3....

Good tire

Great tire in my opinion noon. Its a little tuff to get on I think because the rubber is a little tougher than most other tires but u can't beat the performance and it lasts a pretty long time in comparison to other tires IV used

Great tire! One of my favorites.

Great traction in almost any condition very versatile, if it plots rain, no sweat drop a few psi and hit it. Super hard pack, rail it. Loam or tacky, perfecto! Also, hands down the coolest looking tire ever made. Sick pattern in style! Only thing is its super hard to mount by hand, but paying a local shop is worth it in my opinion. So dont let the poor ease of installation thing scare you. This is a bang for the buck indefinitely!

Great

The Starcross rear tire is definitely my choice for sand, mud, and clay. I love the grip this tire puts out. Definitely the tire to have for trail and track.

Great tire!

I have used and love the Starcross front tires for years but they didnt make an 18 " rear till now and I like it! Just tried my first one and it worked well everywhere, did not chunk and held up real well so far on some nasty terrain. This is a great tire and I have tried many. I will buy another one.

Sweet tire

Tire works well on all terrain here in central MS.. from loamy dirt to slick trails, it really does perform well.. looks awesome too.. AND when or if I wear it out I can just flip it around and get some more life out of it.. can't go wrong here.. the reason for the low rating on install is I hate changing tires so I pay my local shop to do it for me so its nothing against the tire

Tubeless tire?
i have an 2000 kx 80 the rear tire is 90 100 14 does it take a tube? if so what would the tire pressure be? thank you
MotoSport Staff Expert
Over 4 years ago Location: USA
Your bike requires inner tubes with it's tires. A typical tire pressure is low, and the amount would be determined by the type of terrain you're riding. Personally I run my rear tire anywhere from 10-15 PSI depending on the type of dirt I'm riding.
Over 4 years ago Location: Prairie City, OR
yes, this does take a tube. the tire pressure depends on your riding preference. alot of guys like to run between 10 and 15 psi but if you are looking for max traction ie hillclimbing i like to run down around 6 or 7. i would just play with it and see what you like

What lasts long a starcross MS3 or MH3 in varied terrain? Which one has a softer compound?
the ms 3 will usally last longer due to the fact that it is a harder compond.
