I payed extra to include this chain in my sprocket kit from motosport, it is too wide for my oem guides and has had all the gold rubed off along with the turner sprocket that has rubed the chain guide at the bottome of the sprocket. MS says it doesnt effect performance so tough luck. It looks like garbage now and I feel like this info that the chain is too big for my oem guides should be in the description since it says it fits my application.
I got the D.I.D x ring and vortex front and rear sprockets for my 2005 R6. Had it on the bike for over 6 months before I sold the bike and have 0 complaints about it. Never stretched and never broke. The 520 was way lighter than my stock 532 and with the new sprockets it added noticeable power and torque instantly. The only reason I gave "Ease of Installation" a 4 star was because you need proper tools to do the job with the rivet style master link but I wouldn't use a clip on link anyhow.
Great chain.....i have about 15 hours on mine and it hasnt streched at all......excellent product
ive had this chain for months of racing, havent had to tighten it once. it doesant stretch at all, looks sick with the gold, and as long as you spray the lube on it after every moto, this chain will last a while.
I use it mainly for off road and mud racing. I had to tighten it twice, and now it keep fine and looks fine. A bit hard to put at first, but stays a very good chain.
Good ride to all !!!
i put this on my quad after the stock one snapped this chain shows verry little wear and has hardley stretched in 1month of racing i would definately buy again
DID make good stuff, these require a special tool to attach the master link. It is a press rivet link that prevents the master link from falling off and causing the chain to fall apart. It makes installation a little tougher but almost any shop has the tool and can help you get it installed in a few minutes. The gold chain links look slick too.
Great chain for my 450, only caution is that it is a little harder to turn so you 125 and 250f guys might want to stick with cheaper chains. Otherwise this chain has lasted me 1 season already and i have only adjusted it once!!! It isn't slowing down either, it shows minimal amounts of wear!!! (if any)
The gold chain looks nice but the color wears somewhat quickly on the edges (depending on use) which isnt a very big deal to me. The chain is durable and has shown a very small amount of stretch after the first couple of adjustments and a little over a month on my CR250 with lots of use.
This is the only chain I use. I have used it for years in roadracing and also for my crf450r. Great product all around, I would recommend this chain for street or dirt.
Huge improvement over stock "rubber-band" chain, which I had to adjust after every riding day, and sometimes in the middle of the day. Adjusted twice since installing about 30 hours ago.
I have about 70 hours on this chain along with a set of Moose sprockets on a CR250R. The sprockets are starting to show stretch now after 4 years of medium use. One of the best chains I've used.
I've used several other brand chains in the past, and the DID chains seem to last the longest.
It is a great chain for long lasting use. But it is hard to put on. But other than that i Never have to adjust it. Highly Reccomended
Put this on my CRF250 and haven't had to adjust it yet after about 6 hrs of use. The only problem is that it comes with a rivet style master link. If you don't have a riveting tool you're out of luck unless you get creative like I did and use a chain breaker and a ball bearing. Be sure to order the clip style master link
It takes forever to put on and take off. You lose alot of horsepower.
I do alot of racing and never have to do much adjusting on this chain. Have been buying this chain for a long time.
