Non o ring chain

I like this chain because prefer non o ring for motocross. Have never broken one and performance through life span is consistent. Looks good too

Top quality chain

Top quality chain which has required only two tension adjustments over several races. Lacking o-rings, we can drop it in an ultrasonic cleaner with Stoddard solvent do bring it back to nearly new condition.

Best chain

I've ran these chains for about 15 years on all my race bikes, to my knowledge it's one of if not the strongest chain available plus the gold looks sick and probably adds a couple of horse alone. Ha!
Cheap chain could get you hurt so why would you use one?
In addition to all that Motosport delivers it to my door!

It fit after removing a few links but that is normal. It looks great, and it's holding up very nice!

Good as Gold

I bought the the DID ERT2 Gold chain for my 2015 WR250R. The gold chain looks super cool up against the blue of the bike. The chain is performing well. Minimal stretch and easy to maintain. I don't second guess my decisions, i just purchase DID every time.

So sexy

If you don't already know these chains are the real deal, good price for what you get, which is uncommon this day n age. It looks so sexy on a darker nine with that gold making it pop, performance and break in are great n they last. Most common mc chain by pros so you know you can't go wrong.

Look at that gold pop! Sexy

Q: Can you take links out of chains before sending?

I need a 114 link chain and I do not have the equipment to take chain links out

A: No we do not cut the chains before shipping. We do carry chain breakers or if you have a grinder you can grid the head of the pin off and pull the chain apart.

A: I have never herd of getting chain precut. I don't think they would take responsibility for all bikes with non stock gearing and configurations. I always pre fit, then press out link. It is pretty basic tool and you don't need fancy one. The one shown here is about the most basic but works.

Q: Are all DID ERT-2 chains gold?

On this website http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/product/DID-520-ERT2-GOLD-CHAIN-120-LINKS/?catalogId=101393 it says DID 520 ERT-2 120L. Is that chain still gold or not? Thanks

Q: Is the ERT2 compatible with 450fs?
The reason I ask is that DID's website says that it's for max CC of 250 but I see some guys here using it for 450s. Can some clarify this at all?

A: I used it on a CRF450 in motocross for 20 hours and it is toast.
EZRider

A: Yes, this chain will work just fine for your 450. It's rated at 8100 lbs. and is without a doubt stronger that the OEM chain your bike came with. Check the D.I.D. website for more specific information on their chains if you need to but you won't be disappointed with it's performance.
Also, keep in mind that this is a NON-SEALED chain meaning it has no O-rings as most factory chains are sealed these days. It will require more maintenance than a sealed chain but will have less drag meaning more power to the wheels!

A: I have used on 450 and have not had any issues. Also on product info it states up to 450.

Q: Gold?
does the gold mean it wont rust?what chain do you suggest for gncc/hare scramble type riders?
Pinned
Top 25 Contributor Top 50 Contributor
Over 6 years ago Location: Charleston, WV
A: No, the gold will still rust if you dont take care of it. I race GNCC and I always run a X-ring chain. It is a little heavier but you dont have to adjust it very often.
Darryl916
Over 3 years ago Location: Budds Creek Maryland
A: I have the ERT2 on my 2012 CRF 450 and I would say go for something with an O-ring or X-ring. They last much longer. For hare scramble abuse I would not use a non O-ring chain.

My recommendation would be the D.I.D VX2 or Renthal R3
MotoVet
2 months 11 days ago Location: Mokena il
A: All chains rust usually if lube coating is gone. Take care with lube and last life of good sprocket set. Spray after little warm up. Spray after wash. Spray. Spray. Spray. Rotate tire when spray. I use wax chain lube at track but after wash and when wet I spray WD-40 or similiar to displace water.
