Famous Routes

Some famous routes in the United States are famous for their role in the past while other routes are famous for their sizes or particular events that happened along them. Perhaps one of the most famous routes in the United States is U.S. Route 66. This route is one of the original Federal routes and was established in 1926 on November 11. It originally ran from Chicago, Illinois through six states, ending up in Los Angeles, California.
