Brakeline Fit
The construction and look of the product is very good but the fit was slightly off. The lower portion of the hose was slightly longer than it needs to be and I had to twist it a little at the master cylinder end. The fit was the only keeping it from being a 5 across the board. Overall I am very satisfied.

Brake Line
Installation was a breeze, line fit correctly and improved braking ability. All parts included and required only minimal tools to install.

Poor fit
These brake lines do not twist, therefore if the top fitting bends away from the handlebars from the master cylinder side (good) the other side of the brake line fitting needs to bend away from the caliper which in my case it bends right into the brake caliper (bad). Does not fit 180 degrees off. Sent it back to Motosports, they sent me back the same problem.

Big improvement
Installation was easy. The line is the correct length on my 03 yz250. The supplied fittings are correct. The bleeding was quick. Best of all, the brakes feel much firmer. Looks very cool too.

Great Feel!
Love the feel when braking compared to the OEM lines! They are extremely long though which causes some problems with them rubbing on other items! Overall, great buy, will always have a set on whatever I ride!

Are colors available?
Galfer offers different color hoses and banjos. How do we specify this when ordering?

Unfortunately we are only offering the lines in silver. If you can give us a call we can check the availability for colored lines.

What is the outside of the line like?
I'd like to know if it is rough or smooth, and will it scratch the number plate on my bike.
Over 3 years ago Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
It is a braided line but, as long as your "holder doo-hickey" keeps it a lil out and away from your plate, you will be ok. If it is close then yeah, it will probably scratch it up.

Cable Length?
I need front brake lines for my ZX14 with 3" additional length (I have clip-ons with risers). 33" left side and 31" for right side. Can you accomodate? How long before I receive them?

Your best bet is to make them. You'll need to talk to a manufacturer to get specifics as to what will fit your bike. If you give us a call we can work with you on ordering the correct parts.

DOES THE GALFER FRONT BRAKE CABLE MAKE A DIFFERENCES IN BRAKING POWER IF SO HOW MUCH?
MotoSport Staff Expert
Over 3 years ago Location: USA
manufactures typically use all plastic brake lines that flex when under pressure. some refer to this as brake fade. with the galfer steal braided brake line, they dont flex under pressure or heat, thus giving you consistent braking.
Over 3 years ago Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
YES! I noticed a difference instantly! It is way better than the stock plastic like... as they get old they stretch and flex, the braided one is held from flexing under pressure by the braided portion... good quality product... I like.
