Worthwhile purchase

Vance and Hines made this so easy to install, even an amateur can do it. It took longer to program the modes(values even supplied by V&H website) than it did to actually install and route the product. I am very pleased to add this along with V&H big radius 2 into 2 and the V&H VO2 air intake setup. Took a total of about 3 hours to install all 3 products from start to finish. The sound is amazing, even better at half to W.O.T. Totally worth the price and the turning of peoples heads as they hear you roar past them!!!

Heavy on Fuel?
I have just had installed Vance and Hines Big Shots plus a high performance Screaming Eagle Billet Ventilator Air filter along with the Fuel Pak to my 2013 Dyna Wide Glide by the local HD dealer. While performance and sound has improved considerably I note that the bike is using a lot more fuel , I have been told by the dealer that this should normalize or re calibrate after I fill the tank and do a few miles.. Does this sound right ?

Map for my Night Rod 2012 with Competition 2:1?
Hello, I just installed the competition 2:1 + the Fuel Pack in my Harley NightRod 2012 and tried to apply the map that came with the fuel pack and the one in the website but the engine is still failing between 3.000 to 4.000 RPM. The bike is staling also in some occasions. I have the stock air filter still but just bought the K@N performance one. Do you think this will help me? I saw in some forums that the brazilian gas could be the problem (we mix 70% of etanol on it). Could you try to find a new map for me? Thank you in advance.

This is fairly open ended because it will depend on what bike you have and where you are located. Every different model of bike will be mapped different from the factory. Some will be lean to pass emissions, some will be spot on, and some can even be rich. To really answer this you would need to determine how your bike is currently mapped, whether lean, rich or just right. In addition one bike at 5000 ft elevation will run differently than the same bike at sea level so elevation will play a big part in figuring out how your bike is set up currently. Typically you wouldn't install this style of programmer on a stock bike as this system will only add fuel, it cannot remove fuel and most stock bikes do not need fuel added and would run rich. Just adding an air filter could go either way, if the bike is on the verge of too lean then a programmer would more than likely need to be installed after installing the filter. If the bike is on the rich side you can probably just install the filter with with no ill effect. When adding pipes, especially full systems along with an air cleaner, more than likely the bike is going to run lean and will need the programmer. This is not the case 100% of the time, but for the most part it is. This programmer would work with other brands of exhaust, but Vance and Hines will request you call them for help with tuning for other brands of exhaust.

I have 2013 vrscdx with vance hines widow slip on, im not please with the sound so i am planning to buy vance hines competition 2 into 1 series. So do i need to buythe fuelpak? Is the fuelpak worked is the same thing with supertuner? Or worked like it? Also do i have to buy air filter also? Thanks in advance

The Super Tuner and Fuel Pak are different programming systems. The Fuel Pak is a much more user friendly system that will require no lap top to use. It comes preloaded with maps for your bike with exhaust. It will just need to be programmed by following the included instructions. The Super Tuner is a closed course system that is much more advanced for racing applications. It has capabilities far exceeding that of the Fuel pack though, such as data logging. It will require the use of a lap top and also will require you to purchase the tuning software and cable kit to set it up. For the normal guy, the Fuel Pak is a much better option and simply plugs into your existing harness. With a simple calibration you will have your bike up and running properly in no time. The Fuel Pak does require the use of a high flow after market air filter.

Should I eliminate the O2 sensors or keep them?

This will help tune the bike to run properly after the modifications have been installed, which in turn should provide some additional power. Depending what the future holds as far as performance is concerned for your bike, you may also want to look at a Power Commander for your bike. It will be much more adjustable if you ever decide to do different heads/ cams, or hi comp pistons where the Fuel Pak is limited by the pre-installed maps. If you never plan to modify the bike further, then the Fuel Pak will work great.

Yes this will work on your 2013 Street Glide. Even though it is a Vance and Hines product it will absolutely work with other exhausts. They also recommend to use it with aftermarket air filter systems for best results. For help tuning with exhausts other then Vance and Hines pipes, they recommend to call them directly and talk to a tech for tuning assistance.

I have a 2006 Deluxe fuel injected. Will this system work with the Screaming Eagle Stage 1 Air Cleaner kit and the Vance and Hines Big Shot Staggered?

It would be a good application. With the air cleaner , pipes, and this fuel manager you should get get a 10-15% horsepower gain over stock.
