Well tailored

These gloves were tailored with the fingers curled so that, when you're holding on to your bars, there's very little bulk in your palms and they're not stretched tight across your knuckles. These gloves were made for riding. The long gauntlets keep the wind out of my jacket-sleeves.

Excellent glove at this price

These gloves are great! The seams on all of the fingers (not the thumb) are sewn on the outside so they are very comfortable and do not bunch up when you bend your fingers. There is a good amount of perforation so these are suited to warmer weather.

Sizing: My palm measures just over 3-1/2" wide (left is 3-1/2", right is 3-3/4" - go figure), that put me right between medium and large according to the sizing chart. I went with the medium and it they fit snugly. The fingers are the perfect length in relation to the palm size, not too long but do not put pressure on my fingertips. For comparison I fit a size medium in ICON gloves and large in Alpinestars.

So far I have about 1000 miles and one track day on them and they have no noticeable wear, and they fit even better than when they were new.

My previous summer gloves were Alpinestars SP-2's - the Latigo gloves feel even better and cost 25% less!

Well Made Glove

This is my second set of Cortech gloves, had an earlier version of these but they were made slightly differently (can't remember what they were called). They lasted over two years of daily riding in all weather so, when the Teknik Lightnings I just spent three years in were no longer available in my size, I went back to these.

Still impressed with Cortech's quality however these don't appear to be the 4XLs I ordered. It says 4XL/14 on the tag but these are a size 12 at most. I understand, my giant ham hock hands are some sort of freak of nature but my last set of Cortech gloves fit true to size. And by that I mean they only had 3XLs back then and they fit snug like I expected. I'm hoping that getting some miles in them will help things. They're not uncomfortable, they just don't fit completely right. Maybe after wetting them down this weekend and walking around in them...

The only other issue I have is that the way the coverings on the fingers are made to allow the gloves more flexibility. These flaps(?), which the description calls finger extension panels, keep catching on my brake lever when transitioning off the throttle and onto the brakes. Again, could be my giant meathooks and I haven't seen anyone else write about it...

I wouldn't recommend these as a cool/cold weather item as they are extremely well vented and you can feel the air flowing across your fingers. Not in a bad-there's-no-protection way. The expansion panels and additional knuckle protection cover the venting and provide all the protection you could want.

I've owned Cortech gear before and I've not been anything other than thoroughly pleased with the quality, durability, and protection (yes, personally tested) so I'm sure things will work out just fine.

Oh, and the silicone printing on the fingertips is great for giving you some extra grip when needed, just be aware that it'll feel rough when scratching your nose if you get an itch.

If anything changes as I wear these, I'll update this review.

Very impressed with all aspects of these gloves from the moment I tried them on. Nice relaxed fit and the feeling of high quality construction.
I use these gloves when riding in temperatures from 18 to 45 degrees centigrade and have found them very comfortable whatever the temperature.
Very good airflow through the material and solid armour making this a secure feeling product.
