A: Yes, this is available for your 2008 VN1600 Nomad. You may need to come up with custom mounting for the truck as there aren't any specific mount kits for this rack though. Please make sure to profile your bike correctly as these are model specific racks.

Q: Backrest ?

Hi! I want to carry a bag on my shadow rs 750, but dont care for the backrest. Would I be able to safely carry some luggage with this cobra rack? If so, would I have to look for a certain type of bag?

A: The load rating on this rack is going to be 10 lbs. Typically you would use a bag that also slips over the sissy bar to help stabilize the bag and also alleviate some of the load from the rack increasing the weight you are able to carry. I am not familiar with any bags that are going to be specific to this rack. Depending what type of luggage you are looking to carry, you may be better going off going with a set of saddlebags rather than this rack, especially if you are completely against one of the sissy bar/rack combos.

A: No, Cobra products typically need to be used with other Cobra products. The luggage rack will need to be installed with a cobra sissybar.
