Don't think you're going to mount this tire on a cheap tire tool without you wishing you had taken it to a shop and paying their $20.00 or so to do it. This is my second one for the rear of a dl1000. It is a great tire for this bike, but I ride in the mountains and 3600 miles is all its got in it for the rear. I'm just replacing the rear because the front is going to out last 2 on the rear. But with that said , next time I will be replacing both front and rear with the same tires. They just are a great handling tire on the vstrom in the mountains on the highway 28 sc , nc and ga road where I live.

I purchased my Gen2 FJR1300 a few months ago and the seller had just replaced the tires with Battlax T30s. He hadn't even scrubbed them in yet. I was disappointed to find a screw lodged in the tread of my rear tire that left me with a slow draining flat. I hadn't even put 2000 miles on the tires yet so I decided to replace the rear tire only. I couldn't be happier. I had the tire mounted by my local Yamaha dealer in just a couple of hours. I've just finished with a 100 mile scrub in and the bike is running perfectly. I can't say a lot about how long these last as of yet, I'll have to actually go through a set before I can comment on that. I also don't get much rain experience so I'm not able to provide intelligent commentary on their wet weather performance. But in dry, warm weather these tires perform wonderfully. Great grip and turn in is smooth and comfortable. I'm not very aggressive but I think these tires could handle a much more aggressive rider without fail. Very nice for a sport tourer.
Motosport is brilliant. I hadn't even heard of this website when I Googled my tire. Other (the usual ones) retailers came up in the search, of course. But only Motosport had the tires in stock. Order placement was a breeze and the tire showed up towards the end of the third business day as I had paid for 3-day shipping.
Very pleased with my tire purchase experience and will certainly order from Motosport again in the future and will happily recommend them to others.
I replaced the ome battelwings that had an issue of cupping on the front and shaking the handlebars with these. I don't try off-roading on the v storm it's a road bike. Better off with my Xt off-road. So I wanted some good gripping touring tires. I live and ride in the mnts of NC
These are some heavy duty tires for carrying a big bike with a load. I could set on one and it carries my 200 pound weight un mounted. . I never even attempted to mount these myself. I think I could mount a truck tire easier. As for mileage , I can't say yet, but the bike handles turns very well with these. Turn in quicker , and or not as hard feeling as I thought they'd be, there actually pretty comfy on the road better than the wings were. I feel a lot more confident when leaning heavy in a turn now. They seem to stick well.
I have giving a four star because I haven't ran these long enough to no how they will last and although I never tried to mount them I no they would be a pain ther a heavy stiff tire.
Using on concours 14 and am satiisfied with performance and longevity.
Switched to a 55 series tire on rear as well and now my concours turns in and holds lines with ease! What a difference.
Dry performance is good all the way to edges and wet performance is good with no hydro planing and decent grip. Have 5,000 miles so far and think maybe 7,500 before replacement. Nice even wear and minimal squaring of rear tire. Would buy again and is a good value for the money. Regularly see twistys and high speeds.
Huge improvement over my worn out battlax 20 that came oem on my 650r. Can't speak of longevity yet. But so far so good
Got this to replace my worn out Battleax BT021 tire. Big upgrade. Better tread for wet weather.
Didn't even realize how much effort I was putting into turning/leaning until I put on this fresh tire
