I've ridden this tire on dirt, clay and sand tracks (Southwick MX338), aswell as trail riding, and it has yet to see any wear on the nobbies. The grip in the sand was much more than I expected. Great bite and barely any slip. The sand and dirt were great, no loss of traction whatsoever. Very satisfied with this tire, its super thick and solid. Definitely a great all in one tire.

This tire is absolutely insane! Hooks up very well in almost all conditions (other than mud due to the tire not have huge knobs). I have over 30 races plus ride days on the rear and it still hooks up very well. At first glance it looks rough, but when you ride it feels like a brand new tire that is on the back of your bike.
a few years back we switched from Dunlops to the 404 both had similar traction but the 404 lasted longer than the Dunlops so we became bridgestone fans! When it came time for a new tire I was a bit disappointed the 404 was no longer, so we gave the X30 a try and so far I am very pleased! Only have one ride on it, but as far a traction goes it is better then the 404 (track conditions: some loom and some hard pack). With only one ride I can't give a complete review on durability, but after a full day of hard riding the tire held it's edge all day ... so I believe it will be as durable as the 404 as well.
I think bridgestone are one of the best tires
this tire is better than the 404 for traction and nothing beats Bridgestone tires for longevity.
got a hole in it between some knobs the first week. patched the tube and its fine now. grip is insane in normal/dry conditions but i cant speak of mud yet. i have front and rears and i dont really care for the fronts that much, but these rear tires keep the front wheel off the ground anyway. ill be buying again, (rear) front ill probably go with another bridgestone
Recently installed the Battlecross X30 on the rear of my 2006 Kx250. Tire has a lot of "bite". If I was 100% racing on tracks only then I may have went with the Dunlop MX32's but since I ride anything from a prepped track, to trails, hard packed, muddy and rocky I figured that this tire would hold up better. I was worried about the bigger spacing between lugs on the Dunlop's getting torn off by rocks, etc. So far I am very happy with my decision. This tire hooks very well in all conditions. They say it is a little heavier than the Dunlops but I can't tell the difference, but I am not a pro rider either. When this one wears out, I will be buying it again.
Love these great Bridgestone tires. Motosport has the best deals!
