Great tires, but a little old

I just had my second set of these tires installed. I was plenty happy after the first set. Most of my riding ends up being commuting, but these do well in the twisties too (sorry no track days for me). For as well as they grip, they seem to have good treadlife. I got a little over 8000 miles on the last set.

I do have one gripe, and it is more about MotoSport than the tires themselves. In this last set I ordered, the new rear tire is over 2 years old. That's a lot of sitting on a shelf. I'll be inclined to buy them locally and ensure I get a fresher set next time. Buyer beware.

Epic tires

After getting a flat on these stock tires I went to a cheaper tire because they were in stock (shinko) at a local dealer. The Shinko was scary in its inability to not spin in a deep corner under acceleration. I've since gone back to the battlax on the rear and no longer worry about lowsliding the bike. I guess the engineers at Suzuki knew what they were doing when the made these the stock tires.

Smooth and Fast tire!

These tires stick to the road. They change direction quickly and smoothly.

Sticky

These tires warm up fast and grab the road like glue. Time will tell the wear factor. If I compared these to Qualifiers these would win hands down.

It works

After having tried Michelin PP2cts, Shinko slicks, and donlop Qs, all 4 racers mounted the Bridgestone 016s on our gsxrs and were off to Miami and the ccs races. The overall opinion is that these tires are the best we've ever had. They stuck like glue and we all had the confidence in them that you need to go fast. It was dry conditions. The cost is better than the michelins too. Awsome tire.

A: Yes these tires will work out just fine for both city and highway riding. If your tires are spinning when you get on it, try easing into the throttle. If your pinning it right off the bat your tire will break free no matter what tire you have.

A: I have heard a little of both. it is close enough that it depends on the rider.

A: then you need to look at a sport touring tire such as the pilot road. good in the corners and a LOT less wear in the middle

A: then you need to look at a sport touring tire. if you dont care about outer tread wear you would be wasting you money on a performance tire. go sport touring and they will las A LOT longer.
