Anderson, South Carolina's own Bud Herring made the trip over to Muddy Creek for the Southeast Loretta Lynn Amateur Qualifier. At only 16 Bud recently made the jump up to the 250B class and wanted to test his speed against those among the national level. Herring usually rides the Schoolboy classes and hopes to qualify for the ranch at the Youth Regional in the coming weeks. Bud lives a normal life, going to school during the week and riding on the weekends. He attends the races with his dad and says his favorite part of the races is just being in the pits. Keep an eye out for the number 43 machine this year.
