Two Rounds remain in the 2015 MotoSport.com AX Tour and though the winners for most of the primary classes have been determined the competition is swift and there's still much to ride for when the gates drop for Round 8 on Saturday in Starkville, MS.

Heath Harrison has the "Clash for Cash" crown ready to be placed on his head but to finish the season undefeated is certainly the icing on the cake. Winning the Clash event is also lucrative for these privateers so expect an all-out clash for the checkered flag in the final two rounds. Latecomer Johnny Moore, last year's champ is coming on strong and already has several podiums in the Main events.

Moore took second last week in the Clash and won the AX Pro Lites event and took third in the AX Pro class behind Zachary Bishop-Burnett and Harrison, who won that event again. Harrison has three wins, and a second and third-place finish in the AX Pro class. Taylor Holt is also making his presence felt after a third-place showing in the AX Pro Lites, fourth in the AX Pro class and third in the Clash. Check out the racing coverage for Round 7 at Hattiesburg:

Once the season ends, race officials can determine who stands to the left and right of Harrison on the final podium in the Clash and AX Pro class as well as who gets on the AX Pro Lites podium. Riders must compete in eight rounds to be considered for year-end points and many left for the AMSOIL Arenacross tour including Travis Sewell who was leading in the AX Pro Lites and AX Pro classes and holding on to second right behind Harrison in the "Clash" event. Josh Cartwright also left so he'll give up his third-place standing in the Clash. But Moore started the series late so while he's moving up in points he won't count in the final standings, either.

The Clash for Cash event brings the Top 10 riders from the AX Pro and AX Lites races to compete head-to-head in a 20-lap main event. Riders earn points in each class as well as the Clash for Cash, which offers the highest payout of all the races. The new AX Tour season is capitalizing on last year's record breaking turn-out as more than 30 riders entered for both the AX Pro and AX Pro Lites classes. Additionally, more than $175,000 in cash and contingencies is up for grabs this year.

AX Tour Round 8 starts at 7 p.m. Saturday at Mississippi Horse Park Arena, 716 E. Poorhouse Road in Starkville, MS. Buy tickets at Village Cycles.
