Q: Would these work for a 2009 fz6 r.? you said most any Japanese bikes.?

A: Unfortunately these will not fit your 2009 Yamaha FZ6R. These require handlebar mounted receivers to attach, which your bike does not have. You will need a mirror with a slotted mount to attach to the the fairing in the stock location.
Q: Will this fit a Yamaha FZ1?

I was wondering how the mirror mounted to the bike and if they would fit my Yamaha FZ1. If not would they mount to this?

It does not have a specific model fitment but you should not have any issues using it on your FZ1 as the product comes with Comes with adaptors for all Japanese bikes and Harley-Davidsons®.
