Yes this Baja Designs Enduro Lighting Kit Option 2 will work on your 2001 Yamaha YZ125 however Because your bike was not made to power lights, you will likely have to get a stator with higher output for lighting or have your OEM stator rewound to product more lighting output. To have your stator rewound for higher output I would contact ricky stator.
The Baja Designs Enduro Lighting Kit comes with everything pictured. You will have to have a way to power the lights (stator with lighting coil), voltage regulator and a battery to complete the installation.
What would it require to install on a 78 yamaha enduro?
For example, would it require a new stator etc..

Baja Designs Enduro Lighting Kit requires a bike that has a battery and charging system with enough current to adequately run the lights. You will have to check with the OEM specifications for the output on the lighting coil of your 1978 Yamaha to verify it will work. You will need a minimum of 65w output.

This kit would work for you 2007 Honda CRF250R. Since your bike did not come with lights you will more than likely need to have your stator rewound or purchase an aftermarket stator with higher output for lighting. I would recommend taking a look at the Trail Tech Stator for your bike.
I would like to install this on my 1990 kx250. How hard will this be and where can i get instructions on how to do so? Will it have a spot where i could run the power, or do i need another battery?

For this kit to work on your 1990 KX250 you will either need to have your stock stator re-wound to produce a higher output or purchase an after market stator that can produce enough power. Your stock wiring harness will have no provision for a headlight so custom wiring will be required to complete the install. You can run this as a total loss system if you were to mount a battery on your bike and hook it straight to the battery. The battery will require frequent recharging unless you build a charging system with a regulator rectifier that is powered by your hi-output stator.

What do I need for electrical parts so I can put a working Headlight and Taillight on my 2006 rmz450??

The after market stators that are available for the 06 RMZ450 only generate about 35-45watt of lighting power which will barely light up a 35watt head light. You will need to come up with a total loss system with a rechargeable battery to have an efficient lighting system on this bike.
