The optional DATA kit consists of an air / fuel sensor and amplifier box that plugs into the PIM2, and allows for self-mapping of the motorcycle. Self-mapping means that as the user rides the bike on a dyno or on a closed course, the DATA Box automatically calculates the required fuel adjustment at each RPM and Throttle Position to reach the user selectable target air / fuel ratio.

The DATA Box offers an alternative way for mapping without the time or cost of a custom dyno tune. For the rider looking for maximum performance, a dyno tune together with the DATA is the way to go.

The DATA Box Mapping software allows for the user to easily enter the target air / fuel ratio, start, stop, and review the results of the self-mapping function. Once the recommended adjustments have been reviewed, the user can either apply all of the suggested adjustments or just a certain range with a few simple clicks of the mouse.

  • Reads air / fuel.
  • Works with PIM2 Self Mapping Feature.
  • Dyno or on-track self-mapping.
  • Computes fuel map for air / fuel ratio settings from 11.0 to 15.0.
  • Stainless steel bung and plug (bung material MUST match your exhaust system material).
  • Sets fuel adjustments at each throttle position and RPM Range.
  • Plug-and-play installation with the PIM2 unit (may require pipe modification to accept sensor).
  • Allows for quick and easy dyno tuning.
  • User adjustable target air / fuel ratio for performance and fuel economy.
  • Comes with all of the required hardware, but may require modification of the exhaust pipe to accept the air / fuel sensor fitting.
  • Note: Can only be used with the PIM2 unit. DATA Box only works with English-language computer operating systems. It does not support any other language operating systems at this time.

Will this self mapping data box run on a 2007 Suzuki ltr 450 race quad?
If not, which fuel commander should I run? I have a cherry bomb plus Yoshimura full exhaust system. Everything else is stock.

Yes, this is a DATA acquisition product only. You will have to weld in a O2 bung in the head pipe. If you are looking for a EFI mapping product, this is not it.

The Yoshimura EMS Self Mapping Data Box PIM-2 is designed to help optimize the fuel/air ratio of your machine. Depending on the stock machine, it may or may not benefit you with a completely stock motor, airbox and exhaust. Many times with the EFI systems used on the motorcycles and ATVs found today, when adding an exhaust, engine and/or airbox modifications, you will have to retune the stock EFI system to make sure you have the optimum air/fuel ratio. The tuner will not make any PEAK HP gains to your machine, but if your air/fuel ratio is not correct, you can see gains to the power curve of the machine by retuning the EFI correctly to optimize the modifications. Again, the EFI tuners do NOT produce more HP, they allow you to tune your machine to the correct Air/Fuel ratio.

Yes the Yoshimura EMS Self Mapping Data box will work with a Pro Circuit exhaust. The kit comes with all of the required hardware, but may require modification of the exhaust pipe to accept the air fuel sensor fitting.
