Product Description

Important note: This piston is for a stock sized bore. Please measure your cylinder to check clearance before ordering.

Wiseco leads the performance aftermarket by producing the highest quality forged pistons in the U.S.A. Wiseco is unique because they forge all of their own pistons in-house, and produce all of their own forge tooling in the U.S.A. This allows Wiseco to control all aspects of their manufacturing process from raw bar to skirt coating on the finished parts.

Extreme racing conditions demand the strength and toughness that only forged pistons can offer. Compared to cast pistons, forgings are tougher and more durable, and will stand up to the abuse that high performance motorsport applications require. Most castings are brittle, have no grain structure and tend to fail catastrophically when the material yield strength is exceeded. Forgings have condensed grain that is aligned to the features of the part, which produces higher mechanical properties, and resistance to impact and fatigue. Each forging is designed to optimize the strength-to-weight ratio, and maximize performance.

Wiseco Pro-Lite motorcycle pistons are forged using the highest quality materials available resulting in a piston that provides excellent performance and durability. The Wiseco Pro-Lite piston features a race-ready dome finish with smooth edges for improved combustion flow. The rings, wrist pin, and circlips are manufactured by Wiseco under their strict quality standards to make sure every piston kit fits correctly, ensuring top performance is achieved.

Wiseco 11:1 Piston on Raptor 700
This is a good piston, the circlips are really heavy duty, making it a little harder than normal to get them in. The piston alone, out of the box looks badass, has black side skirts and deep curves. It didnt give me any problems going in the cylinder, and once it was in the motor loved to rev.. It requires 93 octane, or it will tick and not work as well. As far as riding, i find myself running through the gears alot quicker, and flying. My 4 year old battery didnt want to turn the motor at first becuase of the higher compression, so i had to get a new one. Bike sounds real crisp though. I DO reccomend this piston to anybody running a 4 stroke.

If i get this piston and the stage 2 cam will i have to change my efi mapping?

Yes you will. You will also have to run at least 93 octane fuel, maybe evan more if there is any spark knock. The stock compresion ratio is about as high as you can go on pump fuel. Any higher you need race fuel. Either way you will need to remap to avoid damage and to get the most out of your parts and money.

Yes, you will have to change the map for the cam. If you were only doing the piston you wouldnt.

I was getting the stage 2 cams and this piston what else should i doto the motor? and what kind of head work for my raptor 700?

Getting the head modified will add more horsepower. I'm not a machinist so I'm not exactly sure what type of mods they do. I know that some will make the exhaust ports bigger, but that's about all I know. Some mechanics have trade secrets when it comes to this kind of stuff. As far as you getting the cam and piston, you should be good to go. Maybe consider an exhaust system if you haven't already.

That depends on your price range, i stroker kit would go nicely with those mods. An exhaust, intake, and fuel controller would be needed if you dont already have them too.

Will this piston work well with the stage 2 cams for a stock 700 raptor?

If your ready to do a top end, I would suggest the Higher Compression piston over stock. The cam you have should be fine, and would do more if you have head work done too.

Yes it will take full advantage of the new cams.
