Product Description

  • Allow your ATV to take a deep breath and boost power with the Modquad Air Flow System.
  • The Modquad Air Flow System modifies your ATV's intake system by eliminating the foam filter and its restrictive shape. Modquad engineered a mounting sleeve out of billet aluminum that makes it possible to install the inhale friendly K&N air filter.
  • The use of the K&N air filter allows more air to be sucked into the intake system with outstanding filtration.
  • Modquad steps up the protection with the inclusion of an Outerwear air filter precharger, so you can run your ATV in the sand without worrying about sucking up damaging particles.
  • The Modquad Air Flow System includes: billet aluminum adapter plate, K&N air filter, Outerwear air filter precharger, installation instructions and hardware.

Can't beat the K&N
A little harder to install than I thought, but still not bad. Have to completely remove the stock air box and drill out the 4 rivets holding the stock filter inner assembly together... big whoop. Power gain is definitely worth it. Ran with stock exhaust pipe and can still feel a slight difference. Very convenient to get the bracket, filter, and outerwear all in one package.

Nice intake system
Great intake system for my raptor 700. Fit perfect and the size of the filter was big. Just the right size to get the lid back on the intake box.. Air intake is much better

Nice System
My husband bought and installed this on my Honda TRX 700xx. It was easy to install, and dramatically improved the performance on my ride. The throttle lag, which was minimal at the lower RPMs, was completely eliminated and the torque was increased significantly. If you are looking into purchasing an air flow system, I highly recommend this one!

Poor discription
Item does not say that u may have to jet your carb until you read the directions that come with it . . .I would of thought that this would of been clearly stated on the item details. Also, I wish it would of went more in depth about how much you have to modify your stock air box For these reasons, I only gave this item a 3 star rating

Great kit
just bught this kit for my 08 YFZ450, the install wast that bad at all, removed the air box and made the swap, the only down side, if you wanna even call it that, is that now i need to jet my carb, already had a GYTR slip on and after the intake ive lost alot of my bottom end throttle response, it back fires and spits flames while deccelerating, other than that the difference in power and torque is easy to see

Dont waste your money
For the amount of work it requires to put this on, just leave your filter lid off. For the airbox to come off you need to pull the muffler on a LTR. I have a yoshi full system one peice setup and its a PITA to pull off for a air filter install. I will be returning this filter kit.

Good results after hard install
product works great but to install on my 2008 honda trx450 you must modify your airbox by trimming and cutting the back of the box. The filter is to long and hits the mount tab for the stock filter. K&N should make the filter shorter by just half inch. Quad runs great after though. should rejett carb after install.

Installed on my KFX 400. Took about an hour. Had to pull seat and remove airbox completely to drill the bolt holes. Make sure to get a good seal with the O-ring. Comes with an Outerwear. Inexpensive way to boost your quads performance.

Do I?
do i have to buy something like this when i get a hmf full exhaust system or can i leave a foam one in the air box and take off the lid?

You can use the foam filter. HOWEVER, i would highly recommend going to a K&N Filter to allow more air in. Remember, you are pushing more air out with a full system and essentially robbing your engine of power. You will need to get more air into the intake to offset. Also, you should consider rejetting your carb and adjusting your fuel mixture screw. My Settings: 2005 KFX 400 - HMF Ballance Carbon Fiber Full - Mikuni 150 Jet - ModQuad K&N Filter - Fuel mixture screw 3.25 turns out - 5 holes drilled in airbox lid at 1" in diameter - Tag sprockets 13T front, 40T rear - Renthal Z Ring Chain Can keep up with most semi stock 450's

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TO REJET TO?

The best place for jetting is going to be your local shop. You will have to rejet though so after installing it contact a local shop and tell them what you have done and they will be able to give you some specs to where you jetting should be.
