  • The Alpinestars Tech 3 boots are what you can expect from Alpinestars, high performance and loaded with functional features. The best feature of the Alpinestars Tech 3 boots is the entry level price.
  • Protection on the Tech 3 boots are what you can expect from a company like Alpinestars. They have installed contoured shin plate protectors which have been injection molded with high-modulus polyurethane to provide substantial impact and abrasion resistance.
  • Alpinestars developed a patented "ankle-brace" system for the Tech 3 boots for great ankle support. This system on the Tech 3 also provides ankle padding to reduce shock.
  • The sole of the Alpinestars Tech 3 boots provide a rigid platform with the contoured tempered steel shank that has been over injected with a dual density rubber to provid tons of grip and give you sure footing.
  • The Tech 3 boots have extended inside and outside plate guards to provide protection on the side and toe-box areas.
  • The Alpinestars Tech 3 boots have an internal plastic reinforcement placed on the inside of the boot. This reinforcement provides rigidity to the boot for support. Thick stamped suede covers this up and provides contact grip and heat resistance. The calf plate also helps out with grip, support and side contact on the Tech 3 boots.
  • Alpinestars uses reinforced leather up the back of the Tech 3 boots, and their action leather on the upper section for durability. The instep flex-zone has also been stitched for additional support and durability.
  • The Tech 3 boots will keep you strapped in with the four high impact resistant buckles that feature memory positioning and quick release buckles. Alpinestars uses Velcro® attached to the elastic stretch PVC gaiter to seal the top of the boot and prevent water entry.
  • Alpinestars adds plenty of comfort features to the extensive list of protection features. The Tech 3 boots use a poly-fabric lining in addition to a multi-density EVA foam keeping your feet cozy. If you require a special foot bed Alpinestars accommodates your needs with a removable anatomic foot bed.

Great boot
" Amazing boot for the money. A little stiff at first but loosen up pretty fast. I had fox boots before and the velcro felt really cheap and curled up but the velcro on the Tech 3s is great. The only issue I have with them is the bottom buckle on both feet takes a lot of effort to unbuckle. For the price you can't go wrong. "

Decent, expected more
" With a name like alpinestars I expected a great pair of boots. These are not quite what I what I expected. Extremely difficult to unbuckle the straps. I'm hoping they will loosen up over time. The comfort is good and they look pretty sweet. I got the black and red ones. "

wouldnt buy again if i had a choice
" i bought these boots in replace of my old boots wich broke mid season so being short on money i went for these. the boots were good at first but they are very very hard to buckle and unbuckle. i litterally have to use somthing to bang the buckles in so they click in. like a rock or hammer... unbuckling is horrible to, i have to keep messing with them to get them un done. not really somthing i feel like doing after a hard day at the track or when there all muddy getting my hands all muddy. i wouldnt buy again. i would spend the extra 100-200 bucks on a real nice pair of boots. 3 Yrs and going
" Ive owned these boots for 3 years now. So i have a lot of experience with them. I'll make this easy. Good: comfortable "once broken in", hold up better than any other boot out there, PRICE, your feet stay planted in a crash and don't feel like they are hurt what so ever (im sure theres an exception to this somewhere though). Bad: the BUCKLES are horrible! they will drive u nuts, that's pretty much it, but they are enough a pain to keep me from rating it 5 stars. Stand Out Feature: they resist water incredibly well. I ride everything from wet nasty woods riding, deep mudding, motocross, and on both quads and dirt bikes and my feat always stay dry. Only boot i know that will keep your feet dry after a mud hole. Next Boot? Im thinking about trying the Garene SG10. the only that's holding me back is that i want my boots to be water resistant like these. "

Bad buckles
" The buckles on the boots are very hard to unbuckle. We have to use a pair of channel lock pliers to undo the buckles. After a long ride its very fustration to have to sit and work with these boots to get them off. Also This is my 3rd pair of Alpinestar boots the two before this pair the souls came off, I was not thinking about this when we ordered this pair . I wrote Alpinestar an email with no reply.. Im changing brands after these are gone. "

good boots for the money
" only boots i will buy. i love them, i have never had any problems with them, never clean them, and always have them wet from riding and still holding up great. no foot injuries and not big and bulky, makes it nice for shifting. "

" Coming from a pair of cheap boots and a nasty ankle sprain, I bought this with ankle support in mind. In that category, they excel.. I actually like the buckles as well. You might destroy your thumb undoing them, but they seem durable enough and don't pop open when they catch on something while riding. Comfort on the other hand leaves a little to be desired. When I first put them on, my right ankle was uncomfortably rubbing against the side of the boot and my left ankle was actually painful. That's improving, but very slowly. Shifting can be a chore as well for the first couple rides. So for support I give them a 5. Overall though, I can't give them more than a 4. "

Best for the money
" The brand says it all. Alpinestars never settle for anything less than the best. Best boot on the market for the price. Even when i'm done riding for the day i keep these on while i clean up and after riding tasks. Very comfortable. The only down side is the buckles are a little cheap, but you gotta sacrifice something if you wanna save the money. Nothing you can't deal with though! "

nice
" boots are so comfortable and look pretty cool to. they look way better when their broken in and alittle dirty. I ride track and trails and they hold up amazingly. my foot pegs tore up the soles but who care these boot are very nice for the price. the only problem i had was they were hard to unbuckle. i was in an acident and the paramedics had to cut my straps so im gonna buy some fox comp 5's because they look nice and im gonna try something new but if they wouldnt of cut my boot straps i wouldve kept these boots until they were completly worn out. Good boot
" I wear a size 9 shoe, size 10 Tech 3 fits perfectly. I'm a woods rider in NY, lots of water, lots of mud. After a season of riding buckles have become difficult to close and rear heel area stitching has separated. This boot has a breatheable gator, feet stay cool but don't get in water above the ankle, boot fills with water instantly. A quality product more suited to drier riding areas. "

Simple yet effective
" Styling is well rather boring. They are very stiff when bought new. Take 2-5 rides to get broken in. I would recommend if you have wider feet to get the thinner socks, as the toe buckle seems to rub sometimes. I dont know what people are talking about with the top strap rubbing if you get "moto" socks there is no issue. The buckles are by far the best buckles of any boot. But they are a pain to pull out. Soles are descent. Very light. VERY. "

Great Boots
" These boots are awesome! Huge upgrade from my O'Neal Element boots. They aren't the best for woods riding(so if you do woods riding, hare scrambles, enduros,or trail riding, get the tech 3 at boots with the metal toe thing and grippy sole); but these are absolutely great boots for motocross. Sole has slight wear and tear after 4 or 5 rides. "

I love my Tech 3's!
" I really like my Tech 3's in black/red. Very comfortable for a day of riding, and after a year of use don't show a lot of wear (except on the top of the toe of the left boot where the shifter hits). Took a while (for me anyways) to break in. Were very uncomfortable for a few rides and shifting/braking was a pain. But after a few rides, once they were broken in they felt amazing! "

Good boot for the price
" Good boot for the price. Great for entry level riders. Good stability. Very little break in time, 5 motos and they were good to go. The top strap comes from inside the upper part of the boot which rubs on your calf. A little tape solved the problem. They wear pretty fast, have about 20 motos on them now and you can already see wear marks. It's ok, I only planned on these lasting a year, and they will. "

" The only problem I have with these boots are the top buckle strap. The excess goes inside the boot and rubs the back of your leg. For me are working great
" I think not everybody have the same luck, but in my case they are pretty good, I bought this boots on past November and right now they feel the same way, same performance, they are in great shape, the soles looks used but the normal for the time I'm been using them, I ride every week at least once and sometimes even three days on a row, so I will recommend anybody to get this boots. not to shabby!
" these boots are pretty good for their price. at first it was a pain in the but to find the shifter lever when shifting. but the grip was great but the gripping on the toe did not last long. i usually do not wear out the grip on the toe for shifting before i wear out the bottom of the boot but this time was different. the protection for these boots was pretty good. everytime i threw them on i knew i was gonna be protected. i never had a problem wit straps coming on done or anything like that. but one problem that i rarely have when i go on long rides is that my leg will start hurting where a part of the strap goes in the boot. i threw some duck tape over (cuz ducktape can fix everything! ha ha just playin!) and i havent had any problems wit it since. it seemed to have kept it done and smoothened it out. i have had these boots for over a year and still going pretty strong but i plan on going up a level in better boots and getting sg12's which the tech 3's dont even compare to. will have a reveiw on those soon... hope my review helped you! Nice boots
" I'm starting my third season with these boots. The fit and comfort is on par with the more expensive boots, and they are very close in protection. They may not be at the same level as SG-12s, Tech-10s, etc, but they are easily the best boots under $200. I would buy these again, and recommend them to anyone looking for an outstanding boot at a low price. "

Not the best choice
" The boots look great but there is a very long break in time and the buckles are very hard to buckle. With that said, they held up great except for the bumps on the shifter side toe coming off. The toe is also very high profile so it can be very difficult to get your toe under the shifter in a hurry. "

OK boots....
" These boots arent anything fancy for sure. I raced with these boots for a season and they did last. they just have the normal wear and tear of any good boot. but I didnt like how hard it was to buckle them after about my 5th ride. and the bottom of the boots tore up from my foot pegs. The only reason why i would recommend these boots is because I could see a beginer rider use them. Me, not being a beginer made the mistake of buying these boots. Im going to get the Tech 8 now. Solid product
" I bought the Tec 3's for my son after good reviews from friends that own them and because I have Tec 6's. They broke in quick and were comfortable, he had many problems in the past with pinching and binding from other big brand named boots. The quality is what you would expect from Astars, excellent. He hasn't put in enough time to attest to the long term durability but they have held up very well so far. "

These boots look good and feels good
" These boots are solid - broke them in while I was working on the honey-do list and 2 rides. Very comfortable and I have flat feet. They're a little heavier than they look but still a reasonable weight. I picked them because of the low profile toe for more feeling and control on the shifter. "

Buy'em
" These boots are great, for the price you can’t ask for more. You get style, a name brand, comfort, and protection all for under $160. The boots felt broken in after three hours of riding, I never got one blister, the comfort on the boots are phenomenal. You ankles feel tight and secure without restriction of movement, the shin leaves plenty of room for guards and braces. The buckles and open and close and stay that way. The sole grips foot pegs better than the traditional styled soles due to the rubber compound, and they allow proper flex without giving up support. The plastic shift caps on the boot allow you to feel the shifter right out of the box. I even wore the boots for two hours building jumps with a shovel, and still felt comfortable. The only complaints I have with the boots are; The adjustments on the straps were a little tricky. Top strap sticks inside the boot, but you never feel it, I was just a little taken back by it. When the boots get wet sometimes your foot slips off the kick starter easily not a big deal. Overall for the price, performance and comfort of the boots I could never complain. If you’re looking for a boot with great value for the money, you definitely won’t be disappointed with this choice. "

Best boot.
" When i first set out to find a new boot i was looking for comfert and saftey and some thing easy to put on as well as easy to wear or break in. i was tring on the Fox F3's and the Gaerne SG-10's and the Tech 3's. And the tech 3s were so comfertably and the fox's were way to hard to buckel and the Sg-10's felt to bulky to me. But the tech 3s fit perfectly. i mean being 13 and tring to find a boot the fits your foot and is sung around your calf and this boot just fitts. So it you are debating on boots and the tech 3s are in your head just get them. "

Awsome boots
" I purchased these boots for trail riding. The provide great support and good impact protection for the ankle and shins. I normally wear a size 12 shoe but I had to get a size 11 in these boots to fit right, they may run a little big. Boots stayed cool even riding the nevada desert. Great for all day riding. "
What's the difference between these and the AT's?
Asked by yfzrider10, Palmer, Alaska
The Tech-3 boot replaced the older Tech-4 model. Alpinestar offers this boot in two ways, the capped style sole (which technically isn't a capped sole) gives the boot a slimmer look and feel, and the AT model. The AT model does not have the capped looked but more resembles the older Tech-4 boot (layered sole). They have the metal toe cap and the updated buckle system.

Asked by Manchild857
Normally Alpinestars run true to size so I would stick with a size 12. You could run a 13 and wear a thicker sock to take up the extra room, but I would stick with your standard shoe size.

my experience is they run small.

How clean do the white ones stay? What is the best way to keep them white?
Asked by GreaseMonkey250, So-Cal
white will show the scuffs but if you use a nylon brush with watered downed simple green, the mud and dirt will come clean and look noticeably whiter.
Answered by james718, Portland, OR
mine dont stay very white..they are a tan color now, but you can pressure wash them, or get a towel and scrub them, but then the unsmooth surfaces are still dirty looking...
Answered by Motokid731, Ohio
What is the difference between this and the Tech 3 all-terrain boot?
Asked by GreaseMonkey250, So-Cal
The sole of the boots is the difference. The All Terrain boot uses a deep lug type sole, kind of like a hiking boot.
Answered by james718, Portland, OR
all-terrain are made with a difernt sole so u can ride in any terrain mud, sand, snow and if u have to get off ur bike or quad u wont slip and it would be easier to walk
