These tires are great. Enough bite for gnarly hills but with the tread they give enough slip to go sideways without worry

Best tire ever
well i've been running maxxis tires for a while now & i've never been disapointed.... ive been in the off road tire business for 10 years & thers no doubt that radial tires are far better than bias ply tires. the traction & handeling is un matched... maxxis came out with the first good radial the irazr. i was hooked & wouldnt run anything else. as soon as i saw the balance razr i knew i had to have it... the tread is much meatier & deeper than the irazr. it's more like like a razr2 & a irazr put together.. this is simplly the best tire i ever had... i have a 08 z400 w/ 440 je big bore kit, hot cams & the works, i can schred tires with this thing & i have 5 rides on them in the hills of western PA. (tight & techenal, rockey & rutted, loose & muddy) & they show no signs of wear.... buy this tire & you will never run anything else. i cant wait to but the fronts to go with

GREAT TIRE
I never write reviews, but I have had these tires on my YFZ450 for two weeks now and LOVE them. I work and ride in some of the most demanding trails in the texas hill country at Hidden Falls Adventure Park, one word will descride the trails. "ROCKS" These tires never fail to hook up on just about any terrain. I cannot speak much for the durability yet but they seem to be holding up much better than the stock Dunlops. These are a MUST buy for anyone who wants tons of traction and great high speed handling and they roll so smooth.

What kind of maxxis tires should i get if i ride dirt and climb coal hills?

If you are riding in really rocky terrain, I would suggest a tire that is a 6-ply or stated as Heavy Duty. A majority of what we carry will have a tread pattern that will work great for you, but make sure you are checking out the 6-ply thick tire choices. This will be noted in the description of the product.

Are these tires an improved version of the razr 1's and razr 2's?
Over 3 years ago Location: mercer pa
i do not believe so i have razr 2 on the rear of my dvx 400 and love them they do great through the mud and great traction on hardpack trails i think the tires your question is about is a new version of the razr 1 the lugs on the razr 2 are deeper and more aggressive
