Not Bad Overall
So far these boots are exactly what you think they should be. These are not your hardcore motocross only boots. They do have less amount of protection compared to other boots. In return, they are much more quicker to break in and are a whole heck of a lot more comfortable. The work boot tread on the sole is much better than your typical flat bottom motocross boot. I ride mostly trails and these are by far the best boots Ive had. For the average rider that rides less than a dozen times a year, these are perfect. I ride dirt bikes and four wheelers, and these boots handle both machines perfectly. Dont compare these to $400 boots, because you get what you pay. For less than $200, these are a bargain. I will easily buy these twice over before I puchase $400 boots again. A+

FOX not too helpful
As these are my 1st pair of MX boots, I am not sure if I am in the wrong to be so disappointed in them and you just understand that you get what you pay for, these are entry level boots after all. I do like the fit and style of the boots, however to me it seemed like they shouldn't be wearing out (hole from kicking over, and tear in leather) as quickly as they have. To already have a huge hole on the bottom seamed pretty weird especially as you can see from the pics these are pretty new boots in my opinion (1 and 1/2 riding seasons old). I am mostly disappointed that FOX never got back to my email I sent them asking about my options (should I buy a new pair, or can I resole these...) This shows me that FOX must not really care to keep me as a customer so instead of upgrading to FOX's new "Instinct" boots, I plan on trying a new brand like Gaerne SG12 or Alpinestars tech10s which get rated well for the top of the line boots ($250-$500 range). Why be loyal to a brand that doesn't seem to appreciate the business? If anyone has advise on a fix for my Comp 5 sole, please let me know as aside from the hole they are perfectly usable still.

AN OK BOOT
This is OK pair of riding boots. I like the Style and it didn't take to long to brake in. I give these boots a Fair to Good rating. The reason I rated the boots so low in Durability is because the buckels and straps are not the best and was the first thing to brake on the boot. Over all, they have lasted my a fairly long time. Ok for the average rider.

Great boots
The greatest boots I ever bought, and definitely worth the money. They are strong and durable, but yet surprisingly flexible.

Awesome boots!
These boots fit great, they look awesome, and they have held up to the abuse so far. My friend has a pair he bought a year ago and they are still in good shape so I decided to get these boots and I'm glad I did. I totally recommend them to everybody. They are a great value compared to the other ones out there because they are so good for such a low price, as far as boots go.

Pathetic
Very poor boots. No ankle support or protection. Leather feels thin and cheap. Yea, they're comfortable when you first get them because they have no more support than a regular work boot. Other boots out there at the same price better than these.

Best boot ever
I would recommend this boot to anyone who asked me about it. The tread on the bottom makes it easy to stay on the pegs when your full of mud and I only broke one buckle on it and thats after I crashed into a fence (In which I bent a two inch thick panel) so I say they are doing good I ride at least 3 times a week and they lasted all indoor race season and still going strong so go buy a pair =)

the ATV Soles are more of a boot type sole. A MX boot sole is smooth. That would only be the difference between the two.

Breaking them in?
How long does it take to break in boots like these? Also what do you do to break them in? I ask this cause i have a pair not exactly like these but almost, and i've had them for about 2 years and there still hard i cant bend my ankle when i want to shift. so do you have an answer as to losen them up a little bit?

Boots will usually break in after a few rides. With my experiences after two years those boots should feel like your street shoes. The only way that I've found to break them is just to wear them. I wouldn't recommend using and type of product to loosen the leather up (if your boots are leather) because that will break down the leather too much and then they'll fall apart.

This pair of boot only took me two days to break in. I went riding with them on for 3 hours both days about two hours in the second day they were broke in. Um if you cant break yours in I suggest lower your shift lever a little that way you dont have to move your ankle as much =)

How are these sized , do you order same as your shoes or 1 bigger ?

Normally you want to stick with your traditional shoe size.. Some times you can get away with going one size up, but this sometimes leaves you with some wiggle room that a thicker sock normally will feel out.

My measured shoe size is 14. I bought these boots in size 15 and they fit just right.

They are sized normaly as you would buy a shoe but their is not halfs for example if your shoe size was 10.5 you would buy an 11.Always buy you shoe size or if in ur in between then buy the next size up.
