Needs directions
I bought this for my 2012 trx400x. This product works great and looks amazing. the only bad thing was that there were no directions. It took a while to figure out how to put it on. The right side went on perfectly. But the left side fit except for the back bolt. I just didnt put it on cause it wasant major. EVEN WITHOUT THAT BOULT, IT WAS STILL STIRDY!

These were easy to install even without directions. Easy to put together and having replaceable nets is a good feature.

Good Product
This is a good product. Strong welds and great looks. Installation though is a little rough on a 400EX. The flange on the stock foot peg is thicker so you'll need a few washers to make the bolts seat all the way. The back mount doesn't line up at all. I would not recommend trying to bend the bracket to make it fit though due to the fact that it mounts to the subframe, which is a weak point on a 400EX. There's a bolt on the engine mount and a bolt that goes onto where shaft for the foot peg goes and that holds up great, no need to put extra stress on a weak point of the frame.

Worth the bucks
i purchased these nerf bars for kfx 400 & they bolted right up with no modifications needed.the only thing that might be a problem to someone is the mount that bolts on to where the stock foot peg goes can be mounted upside down.its already stamped with L & R for right & left, a simple arrow for up would probably help the rider not mechanically inclined. but back to the good,beautiful welds, very well designed,& a tight secure fit.i will be purchasing more Rock products in the future.

The nerf bars look great the shipping is fast. Here is the bad part. I bought these for an 09 400x. There are no instructions, It took a little while to figure how it mounts. I had to use a vise to bend one of the brackets down so it would line up where it is supposed to bolt up. This had to be done to both sides. I called motosport twice to make sure I had the right bars and they would fit this machine. They said i did but they were no help. I also had to custom build brackets to bolt the fender to, so it wouldnt be flapping around. I had to take off the factory bracket when putting these nerfs on. This was a terrible experience. I will be buying some better nerfs after I break these which shouldnt take too long.

Works as good or better than anything else
when i got my new kfx450r 2009, the first thing i put on it i got nerf bars. rock is the best ive ever used. only one little problem with it. the bracket that hooks onto the frame on the back had broke at the weld. but other than that i love the way they look.

Not good for the 700 raptor
I ordered these for my 2006 raptor 700 the biggest problem is the mounting bracket for the front blots to the oil tank, and the oil tank brackets dont look strong enough to support the weight of a rider beating on them constantly, sent them back and got the pro-armor fat pegs, how ever I did like the heel guards, this might be great product for otherquads though.

Nerf Bars
Very easy to install once I laid out all the parts and screws to see where they may go. No drilling on my 2004 LTZ400. The only problem was there were no instructions provided. Only gave four stars because I wont know until this weekend how they hold up.. Great buy so far
