Decades of racing development went into the design of the FMF Powercore 4 to improve the power and performance of your dirt bike or ATV at a practical price.
The FMF Powercore 4 is a muffler that will boost power and torque throughout the power range, making the Powercore 4 usable for all types of riding.
FMF designed a Hi-Flo end cap and core for the Powercore 4 to increase power by creating a free flowing end cap and a core that allows room for exhaust pulse. This results in a consistent power curve.
The FMF Powercore 4 uses and advanced cross-weave packing that is more durable then the traditional packing. The cross-weave packing also keeps the Powercore 4 at a reasonable sound level by dissipating the exhaust sound.
FMF constructed the Powercore 4 using aluminum to keep the weight down with stainless steel components for extended durability.
The FMF Powercore 4 includes a USFS approved spark arrestor.
FMF did a nice job with this exhaust. It looks great, sound awesome, and really adds a lot to the bike. The added horsepower was noticed right away and it also come with the spark arrestor end cap. It's the best value out there for a slip-on!
I bought the FMF Powercore for a 2013 KX450, because of the spark arrestor to be able to ride in the woods, and the price. The Powercore bolted on easily and matched the stock header perfectly. Once fired up, the sound was much quieter. Took to the woods, and difference in power delivery was amazing, the pull just seemed smoother from the bottom to the top. The spark arrestor did not seem to reduce power at all.
I bought two exhausts, one for my yamaha wr 250 and it works awesome!
and for a kawasaki. but here it says that it fits to a kawasaki KLX450R and it doesn't really fits! it's impossible to adapt, hopefully, i m going to sell it, but i just wanted to say that please refresh and update all those factors to be sure when buying more stuff!! because now im not sure if my next buy will work!
thank you very much
My crf 450 was missing something compared to my friends bikes, low end hesitation and it just seemed to be bogging, slow throttle respond. After putting this pipe on,I feel like I just got a rand new bike! Throttle response is awesome, sounds great, looks great and it seems so much faster! Awesome pipe for sure, if ur on the fence, just buy it!
ive never bought exhaust for any of my ATVS or dirtbikes but im buying one for my new bike but im also buying the fmf powerbomb header also but neither of these two say they have a midpipe included do I need to buy a different setup or what am i to do?
The FMF "Slip-On" would include the midpipe so all you would need to order is the Slip-On and any FMF headpipe for your bike and you will be all good to go! Please feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order!
You would not HAVE to re-jet your bike, but the FMF slip on breaths better than the Jardine slip on, causing your bike to run more rich. Also depending on where you live how and where you ride you will need to re-jet for optimal performance. I ran the FMF slip on for 3 weeks before jetting, inside of pipe is coated black due to over richness, but did not cause any damage.
If your bike is currently jetted correctly with the Jardine you shouldn't have to rejet your carburetor. You should be completely safe installing the FMF and seeing how the bike runs and then tuning from there. But really if your bike is running great now, you shouldn't need to adjust anything when changing between slip-on's.
Normally the Powercore Slip-On's are slightly louder than the stock exhaust but not obnoxiously loud by any means. It will have better, deeper sound to it than your stock exhaust though. If you are worried about it being too loud, there is also a quiet core insert available that is sold separately.
The FMF Powercore would be approximately 99-102 decibels. There is also a 96 db sound insert you can purchase separately if you need the muffler to be quieter. Also, yes this should work perfectly with your FMF GYTR Powerbomb Header.
This FMF exhaust system is not made to fit your bike. You will actually want to look at the newer FMF Powercore 4 HEX Slip-On Exhaust or the Titanium Powercore Slip-on Exhaust for your 2013 Yamaha YZ450F.
