first of all let me say motosports shipping department ROCKS!! ordered this item on a tuesday night and got it on thursday!! anyway about the skidplate: it is a perfect fit for a 2008 KAWASAKI KFX 450R, NO MODS REQUIRED!! everything line right up. from the mounting holes to the oil drain plug access hole, installed in 10 mins.....have not tested it yet so i cant comment on its durability but it seems pretty soild

I put this on a 2008 Honda 400ex.It was really easy to put on and all of the bolt holes lined up.The only downside is the front of the skid plate sticks out over the stock front bumper about a inch and it looks kind of tacky.Other than that its pretty solid and very light.The only suggestion I would have is if you buy this get some kind of rubber bushings to go between the skid plate and the frame so it won't rattle.

I like the skid plate alot its very thick, would be hard to dent! but when i got done bolting it up it was a little crooked, i will have to reem the holes to line it up!! i didnt plan on having to do that!!

I bought a new z400 which meant my warrior has become my beat around woods machine for trail blazing in tight woods. This skid plate has held up to rocks, stumps, logs and all sorts of forest junk. I trust this 100%. Installation was quick and easy. Excellent buy.

Still Holding Up
Good skid plate, it rattled a little bit at certain rpms, but i put some rubber matting between the frame and the skid which eliminated the problem. I havn't had any issues other than that, and it shows hardly any scratches even after two XCs races this year. It isn't the thickest out there, but i am confident enough to put the atv through the worst without worries!

the skid plate worked great on my 400ex. it mached up just fine, easy to install. i ride in the woods sometimes and i have had no problems with anything getting kicked up and tearing anything up. iv sleed over some crazy logs and rocks and have had no problems with it breaking or cracking. its a great product

I have a swing arm skid plate currently on my z400. does this a have a swing arm skid plate on it

No the swing arm and a arm skidplates are a separate item. This covers the entire underbelly of the frame. A must have for open desert! Mine has lots of gashes that would otherwise be my bike.

No this is the bottom frame skid protects the frame and engine case.
