K&N air filters offer an economical way to increase horsepower and improve the acceleration through the intake of your ATV. Combining the K&N air filters with the Modquad Air Flow System even greater performance gains can be achieved.

  • K&N air filters use a four layer cotton gauze filter membrane with a large surface area to improve air flow and offer longer service intervals.
  • K&N air filters feature an epoxy-coated aluminum wire mesh incorporated into the back-fire screen to protect the filter element.
  • K&N air filters are washable and reusable and will last the life of your vehicle.
  • Note: The K&N air filter for the Modquad AFS is only compatible with the Modquad Air Flow System.

When I first got the filter I noticed that the opening of the filter was the same a the opening on the intake tube. I was going to return it but I found a plastic tube that fit into the air filter and intake tube perfectly. I also had to cut of one or two plastic tabs off my air box so the filter would fit. I had to use two clamps to hold it but I have had no problems with the air filter falling out or leaking. The preformence is not changed because i do not have the top cover off but its does a better job of keeping dirt and dust out of my engine.

K&N FILTERS
You MUST have the Modquad Airflo System installed on your machine in order for it to work properly. You should not do anything to modify the filter itself ,if you damage the filter, dirt can get into your engine...not a good thing. On some machines you may have to cut back a couple of tabs on your airbox cover in order for the cover to snap back on to the airbox. This filter works great in conjuction with the Modquad Airflo System.

the filter was definitly a great purchase but it did not fit my raptor 700 i had to use my existing filter bolt and poke a hole in back of the k & n filter to put it on where the clamp goes the lip in to small but i still used the clamp

is it a airbox eliminator would it fit the stock banshee carbs

This air filter only fits the ModQuad Air Filter System. You must have this system to use this air filter. This will not mount to a stock air box, or carbs.

Do you have to have the modquad airflow system for this filter to work or will this take the place of a stock air filter with the airbox lid cut off?

No this filter must be used with the Modquad air flow system. The kit comes with an adapter that mounts the filter different from the stock mount.

Are there any special mounting parts needed ?
I have an '09 Yamaha 350 Raptor. I just bought this item from you. But when I went to apply it to my ride, I found out that it does not mount up. Is there something I'm missing? The stock filter has a plastic cap that slides, & locks into place. This K & N is a slip on type. My quad does not have a slip on application. Any ideas on how I can make this filter work for me?

This is a replacement Air Filter for the MODQUAD AIR FLOW SYSTEM. This is NOT a stock replacement air filter.

this is only the replacement filter for the modquad system. I REPEAT, THIS IS ONLY THE FILTER. YOU MUST BUY SYSTEM SEPARATE!!! I found out the hard way!
