Best pads ive ran to date.

I combined these pads front and rear with the Galfer braided lines and couldnt be happer with the overall perfomance. much better grab than OEM or EBC pads that Ive ran. never heard a peep out of them soo far either. really helped my 450 get into corners on these tight indooe tracks

How do you change rear brake pads on a 93 honda cr 500?
MotoSport Staff
Over 10 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
As a general rule you are going to have to remove the rear wheel. Once the wheel is removed you use a a C-clamp to compress the brake piston back into the caliper. It is a good idea to leave the old brake pad in place as to not not damage the piston. Once that is compressed you can remove the hanger pin(s) that hold the brake pads in. After the pin(s) are removed then the brake pads typically will fall right out of the caliper. Next you will set the new brake pads in the caliper and reinstall the hanger pin(s). Make sure the caliper is located in the groove on the swingarm and then you can install the rear wheel. With the wheel installed pump the brake pedal to build pressure. I typically will try to hold the brake pedal down for 5-6 seconds with moderate pressure to make sure the pressure does not bleed off and that the brake system is in good shape. Be careful the first ride and test the brakes accordingly to make sure they function as they should.
