Good replacements, but not as good as OEM
I put these in the rear wheel of my 2009 KTM 250SX. Installation was pretty straight forward. The appear to be of decent quality, but after install the wheel doesn't spin as freely as the OEM bearings. Can't really rate the durability yet. To be determined. If your on a budget then these bearing are good, but not as good as OEM.

Awesome bearing. Add a little grease, as they are a little dry as packed. I use a Silkolene red, works great. Lube them up good, press them in, and boom. And as a plus, they even include an anodized red bearing retainer ring for Honda (or other makes that use retainers). So you get the trick looking retainer on top of the bearing you actually need. Can't beat it. PW is the best for bearing and wheel rebuilds.

Great price maintenance item
for CRF450R '05 Bearing were double sided sealed versus stock one sided and the Red anodized lockring is cool. Wish more of it was exposed but that's Honda's design. Wish they had instructions with the Torque spec 33 ft/lbs. and details about how Honda's lockring is designed to function- (to drift the bearings tight to center spacer and sit fully bottomed after the bearings have located. I have Honda's Service manual and it is weak. No fault of this product - I'd buy again!

If you use this link, it will take you to the bearing kit that you need for the rear carrier bearings. Just make sure and select your model information when doing so. http://www.motosport.com/atv/PIVOT-WORKS-REAR-WHEEL-BEARING-KIT

Does the kit include the aluminum Spacers for my '98 Suzuki RM250?
The description doesn't say it comes with the aluminum spacers that the seals seal against. I bought spacers separately for another model bike and then found that the kit had them included. Typically when you need seals you also need the aluminum spacers because they will have grooves worn in them. Does the kit for the '98Suzuki RM 250 have the spacers?

No this kit will only consist of bearings and seals. If you need spacers we will carry those in our O.E.M section

Price?
how much does it generally cost to get them installed professionally on a cr125?

Depends on who you take it to. Normally shop rates are about $50-$75 per hour for labor and shops will sometimes charge you the full hour even though it may not take them that long. It's really not the hardest thing to do yourself but I would say at least plan on spending at least $30.00 to have them installed.

Do they come pre greased?
Top 10 Contributor
Over 3 years ago Location: Portland
In the case of sealed Roller Ball Bearings, they come fully lubricated so, there is no reason to “pack” them. With Full Compliment and Caged Needle Bearings, it’s important to work some high quality, low temperature grease into the needles of the bearings. With Pivot Works Spherical Bearings, if the sphere of the bearing is chrome, it is not necessary to lubricate this bearing. If it is black in color, use a high quality, low temperature grease and work the bearing, turning the inner race in every direction, to fully coat the metal surface of the bearing.

Yes, they do come pre-greased. All sealed ball bearings do come pre-greased. However, the grease used in these and all bearings by all manufactures is not good enough, looks like Vaseline, is not water proof, and is not up to the task of preventing water and mud from entering the bearing, even just from washing, and especially not from a pressure washer or riding. You should repack all sealed and unsealed ball or needle bearings and even bushings from any manufacture with marine (water proof) grease when used in a dirt bike application. The grease used by all of the bearing manufactures is not as water proof as a good marine grease. Bel-ray water proof grease is the best. It is very tacky, water proof and stays in place,. I always remove the built in seals on the bearing, clean out the old grease with a solvent (like mineral spirits, WD-40, carburetor cleaner, Gun Scrubber, or brake cleaner), repack the insides completely with Bel-ray grease, and reinstall the seals. I also pack grease between the bearings and the external supplied seals as well as inside the lip of the seal itself. All seals should be lubricated to prevent the inner lip from burning up and allowing water and dirt to pass. The extra grease on the seal and between the seal and bearing helps form a barrier to water and mud getting to the bearings. You will be surprised how easy it is to remove the rubber seals on these bearings and put them back in without damage. Use a small pick or micro screw driver. The 90° side of a scribe works very well. Carefully pick the outer edge up on the seal and it will pop right out. Do this by poking the scribe into the edge of the seal lightly and pry up gently. You should do this to every bearing (new or used) on the bike. It should be done wither installing a new bearing, getting a new bike, getting a used bike, and periodically about every six months of riding on installed bearings. This applies to the steering head, wheel bearings, swing arm, shock, and link bearings. It may sound like a lot of work, but it isn't and it is a lot easier and cheaper then replacing bearings and seals When I get a new bearing or a new or used bike I take it all apart and pack the bearings on all the suspension links, wheel bearings, and steering head. Things last a lot longer and you avoid break downs. Serious racers do this. It is advocated by those at the bike forums.

ABEK Rating?
what is the ABEK rating of these bearings? what is the stock bearing rated at? KTM.
Top 10 Contributor
Over 3 years ago Location: Portland
An Abec rating for these products is not available at this time. I can assure you they are high quality bearings that should yield trouble free performance that rivals or betters the stock bearings.

Will this fit my aftermarket eagle hubs?
MotoSport Staff

No these bearings will only fit the stock hubs. You will need to contact rad manufacturing to get the replacement bearings.
