What does this mod do or regulate???
Ive recently bought a 99 blaster thats been bored out to 250cc with new piston and high performance head. The previous owner said that a computer chip has burnt out that regulates the throttle at a high rpm???? I have no idea what he is talking about, the quad runs with the choke at half at a low rpm but sputters out and dies if given too much throttle.... Please help

There is quite a few scenarios that could cause this reaction that won't necessarily be linked to anything electrical. I suggest going through your Blaster and narrowing down the possibilities. Starting with the carburetor to make sure the jets are clear and everything is clean and in good working order. Also make sure the reed petals in the reed cage are not damaged and completely close all the way. Once you have everything checking out ok with the fuel delivery you will want to check out some of the electrical items. This Regulator/Rectifier isn't a performance add-on, and is used to replace the stock one should it be needed. I would grab a buddy to help you out that has experience working on bikes/atvs or contact us if you are still having problems and need help troubleshooting. Also, most service shops are willing to give you some advice on what may be the problem.
