Excellent product

I have ridden with these knee braces for two months. I ride a CRF250R on a MX outdoor track at least twice a week. They fit comfortably, go on fairly easily, and the rigidity of the bracing components themselves still seem as strong as when I bought them. I would have rated a 4 instead of a 5 because I have not snagged my foot in a rut, crashed, or had any other reason to twist my leg to test the design of the boot attachment. This is a very quality product that takes a few more moments to put on versus other velcro braces, but I feel is far superior to the ladder. The knee sock that came with the brace ripped. Asterisk took care of the problem with a simple receipt of sale from

A must have!

These are the best knee braces ever. I was having knee problems prior to wearing these and now my knees don't take any abuse from the bike. The tether that attaches to the boots is a fantastic safety feature as well. Spend the money on a good pair of braces...your knees are worth it. Cheaper than surgery for sure.

Cheaper than surgery

i sprained my acl and didnt have to get surgery but i couldn't walk right for six weeks, so i decided to get the evs web on ebay for $150. the gseller said it was new but 3 of the 4 buckles on it broke and it was nearly impossible to fix. it was a bummer. i got these and i've only ridden with them twice but they seem durable and worth the money. there's all kinds of adjustments and cool stuff(such as the boot tether). i'd definitely recommend these. they're cheaper than the others and better than evs haha

you cant put a price on safety

Awesome Knee Braces

These have saved my knee's so many times. They take away the hard hits when pitching the bike over and my foot catches the ground. They have improved my riding 10 fold in the past year because I have more confidence in my riding abilities. And, even though very expensive, worth the $ for not having to have knee surgery.

Exceeds my expectations

this product? is of superb quality and the cost will have excellent protection on your knees, but is a bit complicated the installation is well worth it represents confidently use the rider that's what really matters

Amazing fit

havent rode with them yet, but put them on an walked around with them to adjust tightness. man they feel amazing compared to my old thor force kneeguards, which felt like junk, and i love thor. i havent used them long term yet to know how they hold up but they feel fantasic..

Excellent brace

Hard to go wrong with these braces. They are very well made, and are highly adjustable to get a perfect fit and configuration. Once you get riding you forget they are there. It's great knowing I have great knee protection should I need it. They are expensive, but considerably cheaper than a trip to the ER.

nice quality and fits well

Great Product

I recommend this product. I rode a few times this yr with my braces. And no compliants!!

Bad purchase

The paint gets off very easy. Screws also. Its not a last longing product. Too many parts.

Knee Savers

Got these not too long ago when i started racing, then 2 races later i crashed out hard and got ridden over twice- was knocked out for 5min and have no memory of that race. These braces certainly saved me from having 2 knee reco's and a year off the bike. I can still feel the points where the brace diverted the impact away from my knee to my leg. I did get torn muscles in my leg from it, but that is far better than a busted knee. I highly recommend these braces for anyone who rides mx. And think about it, if you bust a knee without them on you will have medical bills to pay then almost certainly will have to get a set of these to hold your knee together. Bit pricey but definitely worth every cent.

i tore my ACL and in order to race the next national i had to buy some asterisks to hold my knee together. i loved them, they flet great, and werent too bulky and they fitted in my boots well. but i only wore them once because after the national i diecided to get knee surgery. and my doctor insisted that i got donjoy kneebraces bc of surgery. ha. $500 FOR SALE who wants em lol

SO Comfy!!

When you first try them on they seem a little bulky but once you get used to them you dont even notice that you are wearing them while riding. i wear them every time i ride. i would add a few extra pairs of knee brace socks.

Great Product

I have use these braces for one year now and am very pleased. I have had several major crashes, got up took off and not knowing after the race what could have happend. My pants were torn and on two ocasions the right brace was gouged, I diden't feel anything. I only imagined what would have happend with out the braces. I would recomend them to anyone. The only problem I have is after a race and being wet hard to get pants off but other than that ( Thanks Asterisk for a great product)

Best there is!

I grew out of a pair of my asterisks and ended up using regular old knee guards for awhile and its just crazy how much of a difference you notice...I recently got another pair and I cant stress enough how much better these are then any other kind of knee braces/guards. The only problem is the price tag! But I highly recommend getting a pair of these because the hospital bill will be more!

Love them

Love these braces. For me the web backing is by far the most comfortable thing I have worn. Way better than straps. They stay in place and do not move at all.

Very Good

I have been wearing my Cells for about 3 years, and overall, I am very happy with them. These braces fit well and feel very secure. They offer a wide range of adjustability for a personalized fit.
After 3 years of use, my braces did need to be referbished. I would reccomend getting the frame guards for the braces, as the carbon fiber will wear as you squeeze the bike with your knees.
Quality knee braces are money well spent. $600 is a bargin if it prevents a knee injury.

Ive had many knee pads in my time and i rode with these braces. They are adjustable at all points so no presshure points. Amazing.! I didnt have any anoying pads moving around and giving me pressure points so i could focus on my race. worth every penny

Good product

I'm getting used to wearing these but there are a couple things i don't care for. 1-the lower part that is against your shin doesn't seem to be a good form, it doesn't fit mine very good and the top of your boots are open more which lets in dirt. 2- at the very top when you are constantly standing/sitting the pressure from the top of the brace creates some fatigue in the muscles. I'm working on the lower leg muscles to see if it's lack of enough strength or if the brace will always create fatigue in this area.

Very pleased

After using a EVS web knee brace last season, i was torn between another pair of EVS webs or these Asterisks. Im glad i picked the Asterisks but im bummed i didnt try them earlier! They are much "smaller" then the EVS webs but the Cells provide alot more support for the knee. The EVS webs go alot further up your leg, which makes me scared of breaking a femur, but the asterisks concentrate more on the knee area. The Asterisks have soooo much adjustibility too them while the Webs have very little adjustment at all. Not to mention the Cells X-strap system and boot tether makes its alot more comfortable for those long motos in the heat.

A: Yes, these braces will stop hyper extension. There is a screw on each brace that will limit how far your knees can bend.

Q: My thighs and knees are XL size and my calves are MED size, what am i supposed to buy. I would like a real answer before i spend $600 on these.?

MotoSport Staff
Over 7 years ago Location: P+RTLAND
A: Hard to give you a solid answer with you being stuck in the middle. Personally I'd go with the XL. When your wearing socks and what not it's going to add a little bit of bulk to your calves and the straps should have enough adjustment in them to get them snug so they wont slide around. Keep in mind, you can exchange them if you have any sizing issues. Hopefully that was a real enough answer for you.
Q: My measurements are 20 1/4" - Thigh, 15 1/4" knee, and only 14 calf which size should I get?

A: Please follow the sizing chart directions for the recommended size. It's the tab that says Sizing next to the description of the product.
Q: Im between sizes is it better to get them a lil to small or a lil to big?

Over 7 years ago Location: Portland, OR
A: If you followed the sizing instructions from Asterisk, purchase the size that you fall under. I wouldn't go too big and having them to tight will be extremely uncomfortable.
Top 250 Contributor
A: Id go with a little too big because you can tighten them to fit but if you go a little too small you might grow out of them and not even be able to use them
Q: Can you buy these big?
If you get the knee braces big can you still adjust them to fit you? I am 16 and still growing so I want to be able to purchase and not grow out of them in a year.
Top 250 Contributor

A: I would say yes as long as you're not too far off in sizing. I wouldn't go more than 1 size larger than a perfect fitting current size. If a medium fits you perfect now a large would probably be fine because you can adjust the laces quite a bit to fit your leg. Although, It's hard to say how much more you're gonna grow.
