Easy to install on a cr250

Had an oil leak on the front sprocket. Ordered this came in 3 days. Went on very easy,it took longer to drain the oil and take the sprocket off. Great product will recommend and will buy again when needed.

Good buy.Easy fix.

Seal and O-Ring are excellent quality. I would have rather seen the seal bushing have a polished surface V.S. the flat black coating. The seal removal is quick and easy. Installing the new Seal and O-Ring is a breeze, Just keep the seal straight when installing. It is easy to get it started crooked. When installing the new bushing use a flashlight and closely inspect the outer seal lip. My first two attempts a small portion of the outer seal lip rolled under. It took about 45 about minutes to do this job from removing the front sprocket to topping off the gear lube.

No, this All Balls Counter Shaft Seal Kit will not work on your 1989 Kawasaki KDX200. For the counter shaft seal for your bike you will want to look in the OEM section here: http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/oem-parts/kawasaki/1989/kdx200/crankcase

This kit would be for the counter shaft that the front sprocket is on. You would need a new shift shaft seal. From what I can find, you would need to order the OEM replacement seal for your bike (Honda OEM part #91203-KA4-771). You can find that seal in the OEM parts finder for your bike here: http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/oem-parts/HONDA/1990/CR250/CRANKCASE-90_91?sku=91203-KA4-771

You should be able to replace your countershaft seal from the outside. You should only have to remove the front sprocket, you should not have to split the cases at all. I would recommend referring to a service manual for your bike for specific service instructions on changing the countershaft seal on your bike.

Help?
Hey I have a 98 yz125 and its leaking from the front sprocket. Was told its the counter shaft seal. Do I have to crack the cases or just pop of the sprocket? Thanks in advance.-Seth

You wont need to split the cases to replace the counter shaft seal. You just have to remove the sprocket and the collar that sits inside the seal, then you will be able to pop the old seal out and install the new seal.

This is for the kick starter right?

No, the Counter Shaft Seal Kit is for the shaft that the front drive sprocket is mounted to. Kick Starter shaft seals can be found under the Model's OEM Part Diagram.

No, this is for the shaft that drives the front sprocket for the chain.
