Great grip ,great look ,very hard seat but you should be standing more anyways lol. I like it . A lazy rider will hate this seat .

This thing will destroy your @$$

It looks awesome but it's so hard you can literally knock on it. Its pretty much a plastic seat. I'm only keeping it for --when or if--- i sell the bike because it looks good. I don't recommend it at all for riding. I gave it a shot and figured it might need to get broken in with a few rides but its still the same cinder block as when i first bought it.

This is is hard but it DOES give a bit when u sit on it. Great grip on your legs and butt. Good tight fit on your bike too! If you plan on sitting down on your bike all day this is not the seat for you......

Outstanding seat

This thing is pretty hard, but the shape and slots on the side let you really hang on to the bike with you knees.

Great seat

This seat is semi hard. The fit is great and the grip on the seat is super. I am 120lb.rider with short legs. The shape of the seat helps on my crf450r that is set up for woods.
keep up the good work

Great Seat so far, but stiff

I got the "soft" one, which is still harder than any other seat i've ever felt, even after hours of riding. The stiffness is not bothersome to me, but it should be known. No pressure points or anything though, and the seat is very grippy. I really like it so far. The orange one looks great on my KTM. Only time will tell, but if it proves to be durable, it will be well worth the money.

Ridiculously Hard Seat

I would not buy this seat again!!! I bought this seat because it was touted as being durable but I had no idea how hard this seat is. The KTM seat it replaced isn't soft at all. But this X-seat makes the KTM seat feel like gel memory foam. If you can handle the hardness of the seat, everything else about the seat works as claimed. The fit worked well, too.

Great seat

bought this seat for MX and it has great grip and feel. Some reviews talk about the being too hard, it is firm, but good form should not be sitting down all the time. Maybe this will encourage riders to stand up more often. I wouldn't be any other seat after trying this seat.

British Columbia, Canada

This is obviously a hard seat, you can tell just by looking at it, But i love this seat. Its completely water proof, and Super durable. I've been in countless crashes and nothing has happened to it. It grips very well too. I believe TWMX poked a hole in one and rode it around for a while and the hole did not grow.

This seat is amazing

Ive used the x seat on my 2013 ktm 250sx since june and honestly it is better than i have ever expected (as long as your not sitting down its hard as rock but better than feeling the frame rails on my worn down ktm stocker) this seat grips better than anything out there and it fits perfectly durability is great 100% good buy.

This seat is hard, no question about it. It's uncomfortable riding through the pits, but once on the track I don't notice it. This seat is bullet proof and looks great. Pressure wash it all you want,; you're not going to hurt it. I was tired of torn seat covers and water logged seats. Those days are over, but the seat is hard when you sit on it. Still worth it to me. Maybe it will get softer after a few versions in time.

this seat was the worst purchase i have ever made. trust me dont buy this

Ok while it lasts

Bought the seat, and was surprised at how well it gripped, but after less than a month the bracket part came off.. definitely not worth the price, plus i am used to running a seat bump, and that is not possible to do with the x seat.

Seat looks very sweet, but for comfort, there is none! Hard as a rock!

Do not buy

i just bought my first kx250f dirtbike and it came with one of these seats on it. they as hard as a rock!!!! and that is an understatement. it is truely that hard. i rode my bike for about 5 mins and instantly decided to order a stock seat for it the min i got home. if you want to buy one......DONT!

Needs a bit more work

A great idea that needs some more refinement. If your used to stock seats then this one is seriously hard. In fact I have never ridden on as hard a seat as this. Honestly it was too hard for me and I like my seat harder than stock. Also the brackets for the rear mounting bolts are not well anchord in at the attachment to the seat. This connection will likley fail within a seasion. I say "likley" because it looks and feels feble here and the reports in mags have shown it to fail. Not acceptable at this price.

This is a great idea that needs a little more work . A shade softer, and a better mounting of brackets and it will be a truly great seat.

Acerbis X-Seat

The first ten minutes is a bit to get used to, but once you do and it breaks in a little, its the only seat you want to ride. Don't let the girl below sway your decision!!

this got a 9/10 in twmx and it is very comfortable after a few rides. has great traction and the traction wont wear is also way lighter than water logged stock seats and fits perfectly. also on the crf 250r you can pry the side of the seat up and check you air filter!!!! very cool. i dont know what the other guy was talking about... this seat is aweome

Is the seat taller than the stock height and they make a taller seat for a 2008 yz250f

A: The Acerbis X-Seat would have the same seat height as stock. Unfortunately Acerbis does not make a taller X-Seat for your Yamaha YZ250F.

I would recommend looking at the SDG Tall Seat for your bike:;YZ250F;2008&mmy_source=topnav

Q: Can you take this seat cover off?
MotoSport Staff
Over 7 years ago Location: P+RTLAND
A: You could if you wanted, but it's going to be a pain to remove all the staples once you get it on and most likely would damage the cover. Once it's on, i would leave it on until you need a new one.
Over 6 years ago Location: tx
A: The seat cover is part of the seat and will not come off. It is injection molded one piece seat.
