Yoshimura RS-5 Slip-On Exhaust

Product Description

The RS-5 Slip-on is one of Yoshimura's most popular exhausts featuring it's unique cone-shaped end cap, stainless steel mid-pipe and stainless steel sleeve. If you want quality and durability, at a great price, this is the system for you!

  • The deep sound of the RS-5 is due to it's four-sided trapezoidal muffler shape.
  • The unique shape is aggressive looking and detailed, and it accentuates the lines of your motorcycle like no other pipe.
  • The baffle design allows for a pleasing exhaust note, while the stainless steel internals add durability and strength.
  • The newer round outlet gives this muffler an updated look that riders love!
  • This Slip-on System includes the RS-5 muffler, stainless steel tail-pipe, and all necessary hardware for installation.

100% satisfied with this RS5

I've owned a lot of bikes, and all had after market exhaust. Yoshimura products ALWAYS stand out. I installed this on a 2012 CBR600 and it looks and sounds flawless! If you plan to keep the original tail light set up, this is pipe fits best due to its shape.

Great Purchase

Hi Andy Adelaide Australia, Not to bad to fit every thing is pretty basic, but would definitely recommend you get a gasket and goo for the slip on because the fit is to loose, without it and you wont be able to tighten the clamp up enough to stop it leaking. Happy Riding.

Solid Purchase

I have used this product for a couple thousand miles. I ride an 07 cbr 1000rr. It has a great tone, and personally I think it is one of the best looking undertail exhausts out there. I have gotten many compliments. It isnt the easiest slip on to install, but how many times are you going to do that anyway. On the performance side, there is a small gain, but you're not going to get huge gains with any slip on. Overall, it's a solid product. I would recommend to all.

Beautiful Exhaust!

I ordered this Exhaust for my 2007 ZX6R Ninja and it looks great! Fits perfectly under the tail. Looks like it was custom made for my bike! Nice throaty sound from this setup. Not too loud. Would recommend this exhaust. Greatly improves the appearance of my bike. Adds a few horses too!

Best bang for buck

great sounding pipe! not too loud, not too quiet... the install was a bit nerve racking on a 06 ninja 636 due to removing the exhaust valve cables, and hoping that your fuel injection light doesnt come on! other than that, everything mounted up great and looks/sounds even better!

NO CHANGE

BOUGHT THIS AND FROM STEP 1 IT WAS NOT TO EASY TO PUT ON FOR A SLIP ON. NO DIFFERENCE IN SOUND, HORSE POWER, TORQUE. THE DIRECTIONS JUMP AROUND HARD TO FOLLOW.

This exhaust would include a stainless steel clamp that would connect the mid-pipe and head pipe.

Hardware?
What kind of hardware i am missing the clamp for header to slipon?
Expert MotoSport Staff

This would come with all the mounting hardware including the clamp for the head-pipe. If you already have this exhaust and need to clamp you may need to contact Yoshimura Directly to order just the replacement clamp.

Is there a DB Killer standard installed?
Is there a DB killer standard installed? If not, is it possible to install it?

There is not a DB Killer or sound insert installed in this muffler and there is not a separate insert from Yoshimura available for this particular exhaust.

Do you have any knowledge of a slipon that will fit a 2013 Honda CB1100?

I took a look and unfortunately was unable to find any slip-ons for the 2013 Honda CB1100 currently. Please feel free to keep checking back with us as we will have access when/if they do become available.

Re-mapping is always a good idea. Do you have to? Probably not, but you want to.

Is the exhaust in the picture actually what it looks like?
I have seen people that have the rs5 exhaust for their 2003 cbr 600's, But it does not have the cone shaped end cap as shown in the picture. i was just wondering if it comes with the cone shaped end cap,and if not can you buy it seperate?

This exhaust will have a cone shaped end cap. I'm not sure what you've seen, it may be an old model. Yosh is transitioning to a carbon fiber end cap but still cone shaped.

Some end caps are slightly different. My 2007 ZX6R end cap came with a round tip. CBR 600 will have an oval shaped end cap. Still look somewhat similar though. All look nice though.

What is included in the slip on kit?
I have heard that some international sellers are only selling the can on its own. i.e no link pipe etc.

It depends on the application. Some bikes only take a "bolt on" and some bikes are the "slip on".

I have this setup on my Kawasaki Ninja and it came with the link pipe. I know 4 people that have them on Honda CBRs and they all came with link pipes. You should get a link pipe also.
