Awesome pipe!!!

I put this pipe on my Crf450 and it dramatically improved the throttle response, and totally eliminated flameouts/pop stalls.

Best purchase for exhaust

Exhaust fits perfectly on the bike, makes coldstart a lot easier, give the power a little more of a "kick" to the bike, and give it a beefier sound.

Awesome

This pipe adds tons of power! I was really surprised how much i noticed it, it added power everywhere. The low end power is really brought to life on my 2010 crf250r. Install was simple and so far after about 5 months I've had no trouble at all. Durability seems good too. GET IT!!!!!

Well worth the money

i put this exhaust on my 2010 honda 250f. the bike was kinda slow stock but ive never noticed such a power gain from just an exhaust as much as i did with this one. it also sounds great. it sounded like the bike had motor work from just the exhaust. i have a full race motor in it now and this is the best exhaust ive ever ran on any of my bikes! GET ONE!!!!!

Excellent Product

One of the best products I've purchased and a must have for the '09 CRF450. The '09 CRF450 falls on its face at about 8200RPM, but this pipe adds about 3+hp on the dyno and brings peak power to about 9500RPM which is a massive improvement. I didn't realize at first, but I thought the included 94db insert was missing when I unpacked everything. Turns out it is pre-installed and you can see it in the product photo. The pics I added are the pipe without the insert (99db)(almost 1hp gain) and the free exhaust plug and spring puller that come with the kit. Don't bother with the full carbon kit. It only saves 0.2lbs over this full titanium and carbon will breakdown as the packing wears out. This drops over 2.0lbs from the stock unit. Oh and Titanium is the easiest to maintain(clean) material there is. The stainless calls for occassional polish every few hours of use etc.. So far I love this new setup and it looks totally trick!

AMAZING

For the 09-10 CRF450R this exhaust is amazing! Massive power increases throughout the ENTIRE powerband.I actually have a Pro Circuit T-4R on my CRF450R, which takes away a little bottom and adds a ton of top end (which I prefer for my riding style). I had the opportunty to try/test the Yoshimura exhaust and it adds power everywhere! It's also premium quality and style, as is the Pro Circuit.

Will a rs4 system from a 2011 crf450 fit my 2009 crf 450?

No, The Yoshimura RS-4 exhaust systems for the 2009 and 2011 Honda CRF450R are different and are not interchangeable. The 2011 exhaust system will not mount up correctly on your 2009 Honda CRF450R.

Will this work on a 2011 crf450r with a GET ecu? Or will other mapping be requird?

The GET ECU should work well with any aftermarket exhaust system. The Performance MAP ready inside for stock bike and with racing exhaust. There may be some tuning required for this particular exhaust system. You can upload different maps for the GET ECU via www.getdata.it

Will the muffler fit the stock header?

This is actually a full exhaust system, it would include the Yoshimura Header pipe. The muffler will only work with the Yoshimura Header, it will not fit the stock header.

Does the Yosh RS-4 Allow for a Spark Arrestor???

If you check out the product description, it states that the "Carbon fiber end cap comes with a USFS-approved Spark Arrested insert installed in the muffler". So you'd be all set.

No.. It only comes with a 94db insert. You can remove the insert which makes it 99db and adds about 1hp. The photos are with and without the 94db insert installed.

What It Is

Thanks to its association with the factory Red Bull Honda Racing team, Yoshimura had a head start when it came time to develop an aftermarket exhaust for the exciting new machine. Yoshimura offers four different versions of their system, ranging from $395 for a stainless steel slip on, all the way up to the $895 top-ofthe- line titanium/carbon fiber version that they sent us.

Hits

Every Yoshimura exhaust that we've ever tested has fit perfectly, and installing the newest RS-4 on the CRF was no exception. The pipe fits beautifully, and the fit and finish of the unit is second to none. Power is noticeably improved throughout the powerband, but the snappy feel and instant throttle response is what we like most about the unit. The biggest gains are felt in the low-end and mid-range as the bike seems to pull a taller gear with greater poise. Thanks to the Duplex Resonance Chamber, which mirrors the stock muffler's "pre muffler" design, the Yosh system is not much louder than the stock muffler, in spite of maintaining the stock muffler's diminutive size. We tested with the 99 db insert installed, but the system also comes with an AMA Pro Racing-legal 94db insert.

Misses

At nearly $900, the Yoshimura system is not cheap! Lucky for most, the $595 stainless steel/aluminum version offers the same performance gains.

The Verdict

Anytime an all-new bike like the 2009 Honda CRF450R is introduced, aftermarket exhaust manufacturers scramble to produce a good bolt-on system. Thus far, the Yoshimura RS-4 is the best performing system we've tested, and we've already been able to try out quite a few.
