Yoshimura R-77 Slip-On Exhaust

Product Description

The R-77 is a perfect match for the Ninja 300. Its styling and internal dynamics complement this new bike exceptionally well. Not only does the R-77 enhance the aggressive styling, it provides an ample boost in horsepower and torque from mid-to-peak RPMs, just where you need it.

Improving styling and performance was not Yoshimura's only goal. The R-77 also reduced weight over the stock muffler, resulting in better handling, weight distribution, and fuel economy. Tearing up track has never been so much fun.

  • Slip-on includes R-77 muffler, stainless steel tail-pipe, low-volume insert, installation hardware, and detailed step-by-by instructions.
  • Note: For closed course competition use only. Not intended for street use.

Yoshimura R-77 Slip-On Exhaust - Carbon Fiber

Definitely worth every penny. Installation was easy and the sound is phenomenal. Not to mention it looks awesome on CBR1000RR. I live in California where splitting lane is the way to get from point A to point B, hehehe. I needed an exhaust that yells, "MOVE, COMING THROUGH". Overall, I am very pleased.

Well worth it

Bought the SS can for my 2013 ninja 300. I prefer the low-volume insert. W/o baffle is a bit too loud. It doesn't pop as much as the other brands. It has a nice snarl to it. More like a Vvrraang as opposed to a Braaaap

Do you have the muffler bracket for this exhaust in carbon?
MotoSport Staff Expert
1 month ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
Unfortunately we do not have just the bracket for this muffler available to us for ordering. I would have to recommend you contact Yoshimura directly, normally they will have replacement parts available for all their products. Here is a link to Yoshimura's website: http://www.yoshimura-rd.com/

Compatibility question?
Hi, I think this pipe is suitable for fitting to a Honda CB 500 F 2014 model - can you confirm please?
Expert MotoSport Staff
2 months 15 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
From what I can tell on this particular exhaust the only Honda it would fit would be a CBR1000RR. I am actually not showing any aftermarket exhaust listed for your 2014 Honda CB500F.

I show that this exhaust would fit the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja EX300 but I do not show any listing for a 2013 Kawasaki Ninja EX250.

Does this slip-on come single or dual?
I have a full yoshimura R-77 installed on my Hayabusa (4in1) single exhaust can. I need to replace the can only, but don't know if this product comes dual or single sided?
Expert MotoSport Staff

This would be dual slip-on's meant to replace both stock mufflers. All of the slip-on systems we carry from Yoshimura for that 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa would be dual mufflers.

I selected machine as Kawasaki ZX14. I would like to know if the price listed is for dual or single Yoshi R-77 slip on?

This would be a set of slip-on mufflers for both sides of the dual exhaust for that 2011 Kawasaki ZX14.

Muffler for 2012 CBR 1000 RR ABS?
Gentlemen! I'd like to purchase a muffler in carbono fiber and the pipe ( it's a short pipe in the back ) and the cover of it , in plastic. I don't want the pipes since the engine overhead, which I believe is what you call "full".Could you explain what is full? A slip on means the system to attach the muffler to the pipe or to the pipes comig from the engine/ Cold you send pictures of them, to explain it better? How to order these parts? Thanks a lot. Marcelo

You will want a Slip-on for your 2012 CBR1000RR. This Yoshimura R-77will only replace the muffler and not the entire exhaust from the engine. You will need to make sure you profile your bike correctly when placing the order as these exhausts are model specific. The installation instructions for the CBR1000RR can be viewed here : http://gfx.motosport.com/product/Yoshimura/1220020220.pdf

Is this a high mount exhaust kit for racing?
MotoSport Staff
Over 8 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
The mounting would depend on what bike you have. Unfortunately this specific exhaust is not available for your 2002 R6. Here is a link to exhaust systems available for your bike : http://www.motosport.com/motorcycle/search?ride=YAMAHA;YZF-R6;2002&textsearch=slip%20on&mmy_source=topnav

Is it ok to just put the slip on on the bike with no fuel management system?
Don't want to put on a exhaust if I really should get a fuel management system too. I know there are some that you don't need to. Don't like the look with those slip on's but just have some concerns with the r-77 pipe

Some manufacturers will state that their system may not need a Fuel Controller. The fact is, there are a lot of factors that contribute to how a bike will run. You must take in to account elevation and temperature as the main ones, in addition the mapping from the factory may not be correct for where you are to begin with, and by adding an exhaust will only compound the problem. I cant say one way or the other for sure whether you will absolutely need it. I can say though that a bike that is tuned properly is way more fun to ride, gets better gas mileage, and gives you peace of mind that you are not going to burn the motor up or be fouling plugs. I would check some of the dedicated CBR forums to find what other people have found with fuel mapping specific to your CBR1000RR.

Does the R77 fit an 07 GSF1250 Bandit?
According to the Yosh website, it does... Also, is there a risk that this exhaust could melt a hole in my OEM saddlebag? Some forums claim only one slip on won't but I'm having a hard time believing that...
MotoSport Staff Expert

There may be an R77 for the Bandit, but we do not offer it. If you needed to have something special ordered, I would suggest calling in. As for the melting issue; I couldn't really say for sure. You would have a much lower risk for melting with a carbon can ( will not get as hot during riding ) but there is no way to be sure of that.
