The MotoSport.com Wiseco Pro-Lite Piston Kit - 2-Stroke includes one of each of the following components with the following attributes:

The Wiseco Piston Kit is not just a basic piston replacement, it is a performance piston kit that is more durable than O.E.M. pistons and includes everything necessary to rebuild your top end.

Wiseco Pro-Lite Piston:

Important note: This piston is for a stock sized bore. Please measure your cylinder to check clearance before ordering.

Wiseco leads the performance aftermarket by producing the highest quality forged pistons in the U.S.A. Wiseco is unique because they forge all of their own pistons in-house, and produce all of their own forge tooling in the U.S.A. This allows Wiseco to control all aspects of their manufacturing process from raw bar to skirt coating on the finished parts.

Wiseco Pro-Lite motorcycle pistons are forged using the highest quality materials available resulting in a piston that provides excellent performance and durability. The Wiseco Pro-Lite piston features a race-ready dome finish with smooth edges for improved combustion flow. The rings, wrist pin, and circlips are manufactured by Wiseco under their strict quality standards to make sure every piston kit fits correctly, ensuring top performance is achieved.

Pro-Lite Piston features:

  • Much stronger than stock.
  • Tight tolerances for quiet running.
  • More hours with peak performance between piston changes.
  • All Pro-Lite pistons include rings, wrist pin and circlips.

Extreme racing conditions demand the strength and toughness that only forged pistons can offer. Compared to cast pistons, forgings are tougher and more durable, and will stand up to the abuse that high performance motorsport applications require. Most castings are brittle, have no grain structure and tend to fail catastrophically when the material yield strength is exceeded. Forgings have condensed grain that is aligned to the features of the part, which produces higher mechanical properties, and resistance to impact and fatigue. Each forging is designed to optimize the strength-to-weight ratio, and maximize performance.

Wiseco Needle Bearing:

The Wiseco Needle Bearing is a high quality replacement wrist pin bearing designed to withstand the harsh demands of racing. Wiseco built their needle bearing to meet or exceed O.E.M. specifications.

Cometic Top End Gasket Kit:

State-of-the-art gaskets is what Cometic has been doing since its inception in 1989. This comes from their dedication to constructing gaskets for the most demanding race circuits like AMA and NASCAR. Today's lightweight engines are producing more horsepower, higher cylinder pressure, clamp load and extreme temperatures. Cometic's commitment is to provide innovative, quality gaskets while maximizing your engine's power and performance.

Cometic meets the needs of each specific gasket by using materials to match. Even the basic top end gasket kit features different materials for each gasket. The head gasket is constructed from non-asbestos, flexible graphite that is laminated to a stainless steel core. The manifold and base gaskets are constructed from non-asbestos nitride rubber-bound fiber. Cometic also includes copper gaskets where needed.

Cometic designs and builds their gaskets in the U.S.A.

Easy to do

This is the first time I put a new top end on my 2015 yz125. This was so easy to install. It took me about 2and one half hours. That seems like a lot but not that much for a first timer like me.

Perfect for Broad Power

This product was simply an easy pick for the project I had come upon, I was extremely impressed with the performance and strength this product can withstand. I recommend this kit to anybody, and for the fact that MotoSport makes this a forged piston impresses me as well. I found everything I needed and the installation was no waste of time. To all the people out there rebuilding there toys, I recommend Motosports forged pistion kits for any project in process.

Everything you need.

We installed this in my sons 98 CR125. First off all the parts needed are in this kit. After installation it has tons more mid-range power and is overall better running, I guess it was long overdue, He bought the bike used and we had no idea of previous maintenance but it made it run much better.

Cr125 rebuild

I blew my top end on my 2002 Honda cr125r on a Sunday. Took it apart and order this kit on Tuesday night with the 2-day shipping. It was scheduled to be here that friday. It came a day early! Which was awesome! The installation was super easy and fast. I had a blown top end on a sunday and by mid week I had my bike running and was able to go ride that Saturday! I couldn't be more happy! Keep up the great work guys!

Installed on a "B" Cylinder (2004 YZ250)

Good quality products from Wiseco. Installed STD size Pro-Lite piston, rings & small end bearing. Came with all the gaskets I needed. Cylinder was marked as a "B" size (Printed in Ink right above the intake/reed cage) Could still see swirl marks. End gap on the rings was just within spec (on the tight side). Have two full days of riding on it now. Ran the pre-mix a bit rich for brake-in. By the feeling of my boot, there's a lot more compression. Bike will wheelie in every gear. No more tapping sound from the small-end bearing. Can't wait to get back on the bike. Age: 43, Weight 170 lbs. Last bike was a 1986 CanAm 500 ASE.

Awful product

I recently received this product in hopes of rebuilding my top end before a large number of my friends went trailer riding and I went to rebuild my bike after I blew the top end and the piston didn't fit the y sent me an unfinished piston and now I can't go on the one big bike trip of the year their poor parts quality check really screwed my plans

Q: Fitting?

What size should I buy I have a 2004 cr250r and not sure what size I need to get
MotoSportExpert

A: If you are just replacing the piston, then you need to first know the bore of the cylinder. This can be done by using a bore gauge to find the diameter or by reading the owner’s manual to find the bore specifications. Ultimately, the bore should be measured for the best possible results. After the diameter is known, then you can pick which size piston will work best in your cylinder. If you have a stock bore cylinder you would need the stock bore piston kit. Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

Q: Will it fit in cyclinder without removing the iron sleeve?
on a 99 kx125, if i put in a .080 oversize, would that take off the iron sleeve or is 2mm small enough that it wont affect it? and is it the first size up from stock?

A: The 1999 Kawasaki KX125 uses a Nickel Silicon Carbide (NSC) plated cylinder which would need to be re-plated if bored. Wiseco offers two piston sizes for your bike. A 54mm which is standard and a 56mm (+2mm). If your cylinder has been re-sleeved with a steel sleeve you would need to measure the bore to determine which piston you would need.
For cylinder re-surfacing I recommend Millennium Technologies (http://www.mt-llc.com/index.php).

Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.
