Lightweight protection

Does the jobs without adding too much additional weight. Protects against low and medium strength impacts, but might reach its limits on high speed crashes.

Also, keep in mind that it does not 'wrap' around the cooler like other models do (which are heavier on the other side).

Fit up was great! Seem strong haven't crash tested them yet. But easy to install and look great! Work connection makes quality products. Also have their skid plate and I would give it the same review!

Definitely one of the first things you should invest in putting on any new bike. Protecting your coolant is importand. I also recommend a skidplate/water pump guard,

Works Connection Period.

These braces bolt right on and look slick right under the radiator shrouds. Crucial purchase if you dont have the money to replace radiators (WHEN) you crash. Works Connection always delivers with their products. 5 stars. Must have product. Buy them.

'12 CRF450R WC Radiator Braces Installation

These are a great product to help protect your expensive radiators from damage during falls. Racing in the desert, these save you a fortune! Here is my breakdown of the product specifically for owners of '09-'12 CRF450R models.

Ease of Installation:
3 stars. You'll need a hand drill and 1/4" drill bit but I recommend a unibit since they drill nice round hole through sheet metal. Normal bits can leave triangular holes. These braces do require some changes to your bike. The upper radiator tab on the 450R does not have a hole. The lower does which the radiator shroud mounts to but the top will need to be drilled. Not a big deal but follow the instructions carefully and make certain you have the guards fitting snug to the radiators before you mark the hole location otherwise the guards will not fit correctly. Also, you will more than likely have to trim your stock radiator shrouds to get them to mount flush which was done easily with a new sharp razor blade.

Style: 5 stars. They look terrific when installed correctly.

Durability: 5 stars. They aren't indestructable, but they definitely help.

Performance: 5 stars.

So far so good.

I haven't had any bad wrecks but I have tipped the bike over in turns and such and everything is still straight. Bolted right up too.

Must Have !

If you Ride MX you need these. You will literally rip off the radiators for the first time you take a hard spill. These strengthen the mounting and do a decent job of protecting the front, rear, and sides of the radiators.

Brace yourself

Save your radiators before its too late. One crash is all it takes to end a day of racing or riding. These braces come with clear instructions and only take about 20 minutes to put on. I didn't have to remove anything but the radiator shroud to install these on my RMZ 450.

Great defiantly stiffens up radiator better, gave install 4 stars cause compared to my Kawi you have to drill a extra hole on each side no big deal.

Fair product for the price

Braces were a little frustrating at first, need to make sure you keep the bolts somewhat loose on both sides before tightening. that way it was easer to align them to fit with the shroud bolts. other than that… Was a good investment to help protect my radiators.
