WC Hour and Tach meter

Do you like to know exactly how many hours you have on your bike so you can maintain it the way it was intended? Then buy this and change your oil and perform scheduled maintenance on the same intervals every time. Plus, you can set your idle to exactly the right RPM using the tach function of this meter. Mounts cleanly on the top screw above your tank.

Easy life

Every bike should come with one of these from new. It makes life simpler. With an hour meter you can keep up with oil changes and know when to change before its been too long. Every time you change a part or perform any routine maintenance, you can log the hours and know exactly how much time you have on everything.
Installation was very simple and the bracket was just an even bigger plus.

Is this waterproof? I want to put it on a 2 stroke outboard?

The Works Connection Hour-Tach Meter is a sealed weather proof unit. As long as it is not completely submerged it should work well on your outboard.

I honestly dont think it's water proof. At best I would call it water resistant. I've washed my bike a few times with it on there and had no issues. But with that being said I wasn't directly spraying it.

If my bike already had 17 hrs since I bought it brand new. when I plug this in will it already say 17 hours?

No. The hour meter is set at 0.0 out of the package. You will have to log your original 17hrs in like a service manual or log to keep track of the TOTAL hours on the bike.
2 months 3 days ago Location: Crestview
Peter
No unfortunately the hour meter will start from zero.

WC Hour Meter?
I was curious to know if this would work on my '15 KTM 150SX. I didn't see ANY KTM's on the list. Is this for a reason?

Yes the Hour Meter will work with your 150sx. The mount may not be available for that bike.

You can download the instructions here for the product:

Yes. This hour meter will work on any motorcycle. As long as you have a spark plug wire, you can use this hour meter. I have one and would be lost without it. An absolute must for properly maintaining a race bike like yours.

Mount Kit suitability for KXF?
Can you please advise if the mount kit is suitable for the Kawasaki KXF bikes? From the Works Connection website it appears that the mount kit for the Kawasaki has a different part number as it contains a spacer washer and longer tank mounting bolt?

I mounted mine on a 2005 KX 250. It used the same (stock) bolt for the top tank mount. (by the triple tree) I cant remember if I did or didn't reuse the washer and used the mount as the washer instead. I will have to look at it again.
I hope this helps. Dewy002 in FLA.

I bought this meter from MotoSport for my 2009 KX250F and it fit perfectly. You need to get the one that comes with the mounting bracket. You remove the bolt that holds your tank in place then put that bolt through the bracket and back into your tank. The other screws mount the meter to the bracket. I don't think the KXF design has changed so you should be good to go.

Good Luck!

Yes. This kit would work perfect for your 2011 KX250F. The mount kit simply installs where your tank bolts up right behind the next of the frame. It is a very clean set up and allows you to easily see the hour/tach reading on your bike.

Yes, I understand that there is a different spacer size, but thats a preference (the spacer that came with the kit above, required longer tank bolts to fit correctly. I believe I just installed without the long spacer, but still used the bolts in the kit. I received the kit, and installed it on my 2013 kx250f. Here's a pic!
