Not needed, but COZY!

In thirty years, this is my third electric garment; the others got small. I was surprised that it included the thermostat! The lycra cuffs are nice. The heated sleeves and heated collar are awesome! Not really necessary for temperatures above 40F but really nice an cozy for anything below 60F!

Reostat didn't work

the jacket is wonderful, but the heat control unit didn't work. my brother has the same, and his unit worked at first, but stopped working after awhile. we bypassed the control unit and went diect, and it worked fine. had to wear two layers under the jacket to keep from warming too fast. got caught in bad weather after a severe shoulder injury trailbreakingfor the irondog, so was very glad to have it on then

Good Jacket Bad Controller

I have two of these jackets. When they work, they work well and help me commute year round; my coldest run was a 14 degree commute (~35 miles) at high speeds in which I was very comfortable. Couple of buts here: But when plugging gloves into the wrist jacks, the gloves are never warm enough while the jacket is hot (although you can run a separate circuit to run gloves independently if you have a controller for them)

And now the second but really BIG BUT: The achilles heal on these are the controllers. They fail way too quickly. My first one lasted the longest - 3 months of daily use; the next 3 lasted less than 2 weeks! I now run my jacket on a pricey aftermarket controller, made in the US of A, which is in it's 3rd year of use.

Q: Does the jacket have elastic panels in the arms?
I have the Tourmaster Vest and it has these great elastic side panels on the Trunk that the vest to move as I move and keep things close to my undergarment. I want to know if the arms and trunk on the JACKET have these elastic areas that move as I move an keep arms from binding as would a straight fabric sleeve. Need info for BOTH the Trunk and the arms.
