Great tailbag!

I was looking for a OEM Triumph Tailbag for my Tiger but they were right at $150 minus shipping. So for something that really did not necessitate a matching bag or something with Triumph written on it my search began. I ran across the Tour Master Select tailbag. It fit the bill; has more than ample space for my doo dads; the side pockets are not very big but works for storing small items. The reflective piping works well and the rear broad stip of reflective material really stands out. The bad easily detaches from the saddle for on/off by the rider. I use a bicycle cable combo lock to secure to my bike so no one can easily steal the bag. I never keep valuables in it so they will only for the most part get a $80 bag! This bag is well made with some of the finest material. Even comes with a raincover!

Please confirm this will fit a 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1. How is this attached? Presumably this fits over the pillion seat? YZF-R1 has no grab rails does this matter?

A: This Bag is not bike specific, it is a universal tail bag meant to be used on a wide range of sport bikes. It is attached to the tail by straps that would wrap around the tail. The only issue I could see with mounting this bag to your 2012 Yamaha R1 is that the exhaust runs under the tail of the bike and may not work well with the straps that hold the bag on. The heat from your exhaust may melt the mounting straps.
