Very good buy, but too small.

I bought this protector and I was really overall pleased with it but the one problem was that online it said my size was youth, but when I got it, it was about 5 inches from my waistline when I put it on. I still use it when I ride.

Not enought protection

This just did not seen like enough protection. The plastic was seemed really thin. My son has just gotten over broker collar bone (from recess) and there is no shoulder or collar bone protection. Also, My son did not like the way the sentinal fit. It hung off of him and there was no way to adjust the shoulders. I sent it back and got a childs thor quadrant for a 40-60 lbs rider. He loves it, It fits and feels great, it cover his shoulders, colar bone, and his arms. You can also tighten the arms and sides.

Not a good chest protector

Great looking chest protector. But doesn't do the job. First time i fell broke the whole clip out of the left side of it. I didnt even crash hard at all! It is super thin and doesnt seem like it would do much in a bad wipe out. The size was the worst part. I ordered the biggest one they make and thats what it said was the correct size. I got it and i felt like i was wearing a youth large not an adult! I was not happy with this protector at all.

A great chest protector / roost guard

Well i researched chest protectors that fit with the Leatte for about 6 months. Finally i decided on the Sentinal, and I couldn't be happier. It takes a while to figure out how to get it on with the Leatte, but after that the thing fits like a glove. Alittle advise to the peeps that are looking to buy one or are still having problems getting it to fit correctly. Make sure to put the rear of the brace in first, then the front. Also make sure it is fit into the lip on the side of the brace. Also leave the brace in the Sentinal while at home, helps the protector break in and makes it much easier to put on later. Hope this helps your decision!

Great!

well, to start somone on here wrote a review saying it didnt fit with leat, this thing is "THE" best chest protector for the leatt, in the terms that it fits so snug that it seems to almost be made exactly for the leatt, its comfortable, light weight, stylish, not the best for desert rider in case of a lay over, but definitly recomended for a track rider needing roost protecting, this is an awsome product and you should get one! i have heard of people breaking them with a fall and i wasnt able to get the plastic on the back off due to screw not coming off and then stripping,

How well does it fit under a jersey?
MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: P+RTLAND
If you wear tight jerseys i would wear this over the jersey, if you wear a loose jersey it's pretty comfortable. Your just going to want to make sure you have enough room under your jersey for it to fit comfortably. Personally I'd stick with it on the outside.

Over 4 years ago Location: Puerto Rico
Yes. My friend uses his evs neckbrace, with this chest protector.
Over 4 years ago Location: Eagle River, AK
Yes Im sure the evs neckbrace should fit, I have one and I use it with the 09 fox raceframe. If anything order it and try it out and see if you like the fit. If not you can always return it. Hope this helps!

nickey Over 4 years ago Location: jackson,mi
I weigh 77-85 lbs and the youth says it fits most riders 45-60 lbs and the adult is 120 -200 lbs can i adjust one or do i need to wait a while?
MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: P+RTLAND
The Adult size does have some adjustment to snug it up. I would go with the adult that way you can grow into it as well... But depending on how tall you are the armor pieces might be a little long. I would recommend trying on an adult size locally if possible before placing your order.
Ok, I weigh 78lbs, and I got the youth sentinal chest protector, and the youth model was about 5 inches from my waist line. It was too small but it still kinda fits. If I had to do it over again I would get the normal adult size, because you can grow into it.
