Best part I've bought for my bike

The pro circuit linkage does exactly what it's supposed to, settles the rear end down. I put this on my 2012 kx450f and it now keeps the rear tire planted on the ground in braking and acceleration bumps. Best part I've ever bought by far.

Bought this to help settle the rear end of a 2011 CRF450 and it did just that. The quality and fit is 2nd to none as always with Pro Circuit.

Essential for kawasaki's

Bought for my 06 Kx250f. Really mellowed the rear suspension. Keeps whoops and braking bumps more manageable. Definitely a noticeable difference.

Is the collar included?
The owner before me didn't grease the suspension as needed and all of the stock grease is gone. My metal collar that went in between the bearing and bolt is rusted pretty bad and can't be reused. I'm wondering if this linkage arm comes with a new collar? Thanks in advance for any help!

This would only include the bearings and would required the use of the OEM Collars. You can find the OEM linkage collar for your bike listed here: http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/oem-parts/KAWASAKI/2007/KX250F/REAR-SUSPENSION?sku=42036-0020

Can I get replacement bearings for this linkage arm?
MotoSport Staff Expert

I could not find a specific rebuild kit for this so I contacted Pro Circuit and this is what they said: "We recommend using OEM parts when replacing your bearings on the Pro Circuit Linkage Arm. Since Pro Circuit uses special tools to remove the existing bearings when replacing them, we recommend sending your linkage arm directly to Pro Circuit for replacement. Failure to use the proper tools when removing your existing bearings may result in damage to the linkage arm" -Chris, Pro Circuit

Are the bearings and collar the same OEM size or do I need to order a replacement kit from pro circuit?

This Linkage Arm would use the same bearings as OEM. Since Pro Circuit uses special tools to remove the existing bearings when replacing them, they recommend sending your linkage arm directly to Pro Circuit for replacement. Failure to use the proper tools when removing your existing bearings may result in damage to the linkage arm.

Lower?
Does it lower your bike at all? I ride a 07 kx450f and its a little high for me. I was told this linkage arm might help lower it a little.

This won't lower the bike any. What this link arm does is allows the shock to blow through the harsh mid stroke spike without bottoming becoming a problem.

Design?
What is the differance between this one and a stock one? Is it going to make the bike lower or make the suspension softer? What is this thing goint to do?

The arm angles are different to make the rear shock less harsh when it cycles through its movement. Pro Circuit basically redesigned the stock linkage arm to work a little better.

How does it work?
It isn't a new shock or anything, it's just a new arm, how is it different than the stock arm and how does that improve rear suspension performance?
Different length/design makes your shock compress and rebound better. It improves handling. Also good to consider anyway as most inner bearings on these stock pieces are toast after a year or two of hard riding. Most people don't notice because it happens gradually.
