two mintues till the bear shows up...
Great product
Ok so finally get the camera set up and started recording...a bit confusing but thankfully did not mess it up. We hit our new riding spot and stop to record some views at the top of the mountain when a 6ft blk bear stands up and is looking at my bro-in-law and I. We stared back recording the whole thing....scary stuff but it was awesome to have recorded it. The camera is great...i had mine mounted on the side of my helmet and will make a small adjustment to the angle for next time. I would recommend the gopro HD motorsport (just bring extra battery and SD card with you) the picture taking function is great too... just filed the SD card with 999 pics......happy riding and recording.

Hero HD
Video quality is outstanding, the multitude of mounting options are incredible, the number of times I've already had to call for support, not so great. I had to call after the first time I plugged it into the tv to watch the movies because it got stuck in TV mode. They were prompt in emailing me back with a solution. I did it, it worked... Second time I used the camera it said SoS..... This is a bad thing, and not a good testimonial to the quality of electronics they are using. However, it is possible that I have a bad unit and if GoPro support is prompt and helpful I would be more than willing to recommend this otherwise outstanding camera to anyone.

Good video quality
Good video quality, case survived many branch hits and a endo into the face side of a hill with only a scratch to the case that didn't affect picture quality. Great little product for recording your rides!

Simply amazing
the go pro cam is the best 300 dollars ive ever spent. not only does it offer amazing performance, its durable, and has helped me greatly trouble shoot my riding. the only thing that is lacks in is picture quality at night. i tried using it to film my car driving at night with only the headlights as i drove and it didnt really capture any picture. however during the day the picture quality is amazing... this is a musty have

Best Ranked YouTube Video
I endorse all other reviewer's comments on resistance, battery life, etc. As many of us before getting this camera I went to YouTube and looked for GoPro videos. I thought: "Those GoPro official videos look amazing, however I bet they picked the best shots, angles and did a lot of editing". I was wrong. I posted 3 videos and what you see in GoPro official demos, is WHAT YOU GET! I had previously posted 10 videos using my old Contour and viewers make it obvious: GoPro videos get higher ranks! Also simplicity: While using my Contour I had to spend a lot of time on planning how to record, positioning the camera, etc, etc. the GoPro is a far more suck on your helmet & play. I've received 10s of comments asking for the camera model and even asked if I was using professional recording equipment (which I guess it is given the great picture/sound and EMOTION quality that this camera is able to record). I'm attaching a video in which you can see that the camera is also very resistant when hit by tree branches!

Can you attach this camera to anything other than a helmet like front or rear fenders?

Yes. Kit comes with two flat mounts and two arched(ment for helmets I think, would work well on front fenders) mounts, both of which use 3M sticky pads(very sticky).

Sure, you can attach it anywhere but your head will give you the best picture. Bike parts tend to vibrate too much for a useful video.
