This thing lasts a long time

I've had a couple Galfer brake lines and they have always performed well. I've never had one break or bust on a trail. And, I've never had one fade after a long day of riding.

I highly recommend changing out any rubber brake line for the Galfer Steel braided brake line kit if you want a consistent feel every time.

No fade

These lines eliminate the flex that is found the the stock lines. It makes the lever feel alot firmer. I dont know why I didnt buy these sooner.

Quality lines with great lever feel.

I was really impressed with the improvemement in braking performance with these lines. nice solid lever feel with minimal lever pull needed. Im a front brake dragger when cornering in ruts and have not felt any fade once everything heats up. I installed these lines front and rear and combined them with the Galfer sintered pads. couldnt be happier with the brakes now.

Better than oversize rotor set up

As everyone knows the kx450 has spongy front brakes. The braided line stiffens up the whole feel of the brake while adding power. Most guys who went for an oversize rotor should have just gotten the braided line.

Quality line

Well I never knew how to bleed a line from scratch so after I figured that out the lines holding up really nice, and holding even pressure every time I use it. It also looks really nice, cause you know that really matters haha, but it tells what side goes where and fit fine so I'd buy it. I've only had it on for about 5 hours of riding and 1 race but so far so good.

Galfer Brake Lines Yamaha FZ1

The lines arrived within a few days. The price was outstanding. They were easy to install and the performance is great. I want SS brake lines to minimize the mushy brake lever feeling during hard braking. These brake lines did exactly what I wanted. I am an everyday rider, occasional track days, touring, and weekend joys rides. This product is good for all of the riding environments that I experience.

Galfer Steel Braided Lines

Went on with ease. Have always had good things to say about galfer brake lines. Even when they get cut and I wreck. :) And yet, I will buy them again. Good product.

Interested in this item?
I just installed new taller risers on my motorcycle. This leaves my current brake system short. It has 3 banjo connections and a manifold/junction like this item listed. Is it possible for me to order a specific lengths for the lines?

Length of lines?
hi i am interested in your brake lines but i need them about 2 inches longer i have 2 inch raisers on my bike i have a vzr 1800 boulevard 2012 model is the price the same
MotoSport Staff Expert
3 months 14 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
These would be the same length as the OEM brake lines on your bike. Unfortunately I am not finding any +2" lines we would be able to get for your 2012 Suzuki VZR1800. You may have to look into having custom lines made longer than OEM for that motorcycle.

Is this a 3 line or 2 line kit?
I need to know if the Galfer Front Brake Line Kit for 2009 Yamaha Raider 1900 - XV19C is a 3-line direct replacement kit or is it a 2-line kit similar to sportbike kits.
MotoSport Staff
Over 5 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
The Galfer kit for the Yamaha Raider XV1900 models is a 3 line kit.

What is the outside of the line like?
I'd like to know if it is rough or smooth, and will it scratch the number plate on my bike.
Over 3 years ago Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
It is a braided line but, as long as your "holder doo-hickey" keeps it a lil out and away from your plate, you will be ok. If it is close then yeah, it will probably scratch it up.
floordude Over 4 years ago
Does this "properly" fit an 06 YZ450?
just curious if this cable fits an 06 YZ450 like the OEM cable does? I'm not interested in modifying it otherwise.
MotoSport Staff
Over 3 years ago Location: P+RTLAND
As long as your "properly" profile your bike, the cables should require no modification.
gbwilliams Over 4 years ago
What does the CR style mean?
What does the CR style mean?
Over 4 years ago Location: Pottstown,PA
CR style is the way the cable is ran. This style runs directly to the back of the calipar. The other style cable runs over top then underneith causing an easy way to break it over rocks, trees etc...
