Does its job well. I have ridden on the MX track and the trails with it. Whether it be 20 min or 2 hours out riding I forget I am wearing it. Can be worn under or over jersey. I am 5'6 and the Medium fit me great out of the box. Had to make a few slight tweaks for the perfect fit. The Adjustments are simple to figure out and TLD sends extra screws just in case you bugger one up when customizing fit. Docked one star on durability due to one of the screw/clips breaking when I was adjusting fit. However, they give you 4 extra screws/clips.

Ive owned this chest protector before and I gotta say, its probably the best CP I have ever owned the only reason I ordered another one is the last one was stolen and the one I have is not nearly as comfy !
Also if you were a neck brace this is a must!!
We have tried many of these, trying to find one that fit comfortably and tight enough to wear under the jersey. This thing fits our 12 year old like a glove! He loves it!
I am 6' and 195 lbs and this chest protector actually fit. I bought another model by Leatt that proclaims "one size fits all" and it was tiny. The 5900 offers different sizes - I got the L/XL. It is very light but offers decent protection. It has a nice design that is made to accommodate a neck brace and needed no additional modification. That sold me...
After a bunch of failed attempts at finding a hard protector that fits well with my Leatt neck brace i finally found the one!
Pros: Looks, fit, weight, range of protection, possible adjustments, comfort.
Cons: It hugs you tight, and in turn it becomes hot to wear. (I wear over the jersey)
Note: The sizing chart is terrible. Found my self taking a gamble as my height would put me in a large but by the waist size would put me in a medium. I picked the large and it fits perfect! As stated by another reviewer here Unless you are under 5'4 or so i would say by the large. I am 145 Lbs 5'8".
I really like the way the panels on the sides and back are separate. It allows them to move and flex. I am not a big guy (150) and skinny. A size large adjusted all the way to longest setting didn't even reach my belly button which is unlike every other protector I've ever had. Definitely get a large unless you are under 5'4" in my opinion. Overall I like it though.
this is the best chest protector the only problem with this chest protector was that it fit a little small in the length but that's also because im about 6,0 ,1 so I had to order a large
Fits nice and looks great. Lack of shoulder pads is a small concern. Goes perfect with the Leatte neck brace after your able to dial everything in.
Buy aniything from MotoSport is so simple and the shipping is excelent. I recomend to all my friend to buy from MotoSport.
I bought this chest protector about a year ago and I have had some bad wrecks, like nailing my chest on the handle bars after casing a jump and it really help keep me from really messing up my chest. Also Its very durable and lightweight, so I would recommend this product to beginners and full time riders.
It fits great and you dont notice it, i also wear a alpinestars binoic neck brace and it fits great with it. cant say enough about this chest protector.
I have been in search for a chest protector to work properly with the Leatt for years. I have finally found it! Comfort is top notch it doesn't ride up like most of the CP's I have tried. Once its on you dont notice it. It fits together with the Leatt great and holds it in place nicely. Its easy to put on with the Leatt and I dont feel like I need to be stretch armstrong to get the CP and the Leatt on. I wear it on the outside of my jersey because I dont see how you can make it work with the Leatt any other way. I did remove the two plastic shoulder caps to make sure my overhead movement wasn't affected. Overall this is a great chest protector and I would recommend it to anyone.
One other thing when you get it go through and make sure all the bolts are tight I found a couple of loose one.
Recently I had a motorcycle accident which broke 6 ribs and collapsed my left lung. I wanted something to help protect me should I fall again. The Troy Lee Designs Shock Doctor CP5900 chest protector was a good choice. It looks good, fits good and gives me that extra protection I wanted. It's adjustable to accommodate different shapes. The key feature for me was movable sides that pivot to better protect my sides. I wear my chest protector under my summer riding jacket, I hardly know it's there.
