Nice lookin bars, but...

These are nice lookin bars, but they don't mount to the steering column very well. That is, the stock steering column is one piece and made for skinny bars. The Trail tech bar clamp mounts straight to the steering column so it leaves a half-circle between the two parts where your old bars used to sit. Looks a little awkward, but the feel and look of the actual bars is great. Rosie likes the red too, so they will work. With a little re-shaping, the stock plastic bar clamp cover can be modified to cover up the funny lookin steering column gap too... so overall a good piece.

Great deal/Clamp need extra hole drilled

Install was easy. Matched up to my 08 400EX with no problem. Had to drill extra hole for breather and reverse light bu took my time and looks absolutely like stock. The bars are great......what do you expect they are Renthal. The logo on the clamp makes it look even better...very custom.

A: Really the bend would be personal preference. Any of the bar bends would fit on your 2008 Honda TRX450R. I would recommend taking a look at the sizing chart under the Twin Wall Handlebars at the bends to see which one you think would be best for you. Please keep in mind the Renthal Twin-Wall Handlebars are a Dirt Bike Style bar, so they are designed to be lower and straighter than most stock ATV bars.

Q: What do the numbers mean before the handle bars. Example asking for size they have 992-999 I have a 200 honda 400ex what size do I need.?

A: The number is the identifier for the specific bend of the the handlebar. Due to this kit coming with dirtbike bend bars, as the ATV bends are not produced in the twinwall style bar, the tallest bar available will be the 922 Carmichael High bend. With these bars installed, the height of the bar will be about 1 inch shorter than stock bars. If you would like to retain the stock bar height you can purchase the Renthal 7/8" bar, which is direct drop in to your stock bar mounts, and the 787 400ex bend, is direct copy of the stock handlebar dimensions.
