Best Chain rub plate made

I have gone through many chain guides on my 2008 Honda 450x. I have had trouble with the chain rubing and chipping my tire along with chain slap on swingarm. I tried this new TM Designs guide which is 3 to 4 times more expensive than most but to my delight after a 3 day 500 mile ride, no tire chipping and no chain slap and the guide shows little wear. Great job TM Designs! Randino

Exceeded my exspectiations.

This is a excellent product! The bolts and hardware are way better than the stock components and look trick. This also ended the problem of my chain eating away at the side knobs off my rear tire. This was a high dollar product but will save me money on rear tires and mud flap.

Good purchase

Big noise reducer and let's your chain slid freely. I have one on my 2009 kx250f and I cant even here my chain when it has a lot of slack. Great buy

Great Product. For the kx450f this is a must. the stock slider wears within several rides. The TM slider will last forever compared to the oem. It seems expensive but definitely worth it. If you go the OEM route expect to buy several and keep replacing them. Save yourself the time and go TM designs.

Good but not Indestructible

I justified the price because I thought they were guaranteed for life. There is a "one year Pro Rated wear warranty" because "Kawasaki engine countershaft and swingarm pivot do not line up the chain literally cut through the buffer at a downward angle like a knife". In their third grade English they go on to say "no chain slider can overcome a bad mechanical design. Because of this we can only support a pro-rate setup". They also recommend 1.125 inches of chain slack instead of the 2.0-2.5 inches the KX450F manual says. I have used my slider for about 10 hours of track riding and I can already see it wearing but not at the rate the stock one did. It is a good product but won't last forever. Also, it is super easy to install. All I had to do was take off the countersprocket and bam done.

Best guide ive ever had!

I must admit I’m very impressed... but I’d better be for the money these cost. I do have a complaint in the fitment though, I own 2 bikes and neither line up properly with the chain on the back end. It really doesn’t matter, but for that money I want perfect! They've held up great to 250 miles though, the only wear being on the edge where they don’t line up right. I’d buy them again...

the '01 had a different swingarm than the '02. They will not cross over years nor will it fit properly.
